This property was fantastic and easy to find with east travel connections. The hotel was situated right next to worthing train station and only a 20 minute walk from the beach which has multiple bus services via stage coach going to Brighton and to Littlehampton. The staff were extremely helpful friendly and welcoming making sure I was fully aware of the checkig in procedure and where to go taking their time to carefully show me. As well upon check out the staff were kind saying a lovely goodbye. The room was lively spacious and clean offering tea coffee sugar milk kettle and mugs and glass cups. A wonderful addition was thst they provided an alternative milk option meaning those who are lactose intolerant can enjoy a coffee without consequences. The double bed was lovely and large could easily fit 3 people while being comfortable and offering 2 pillows for each person. The bathroom was wonderful with 2 shower heads and the hotel provided a wonderful array of showering supplies or body wash shampoo and conditioner all which smelled delightful. Getting in and out of the hotel was easy, you didnt have to worry about entry in main entrance after a certain time as there was a side door which works with your room key where you can leave as you please. Returning the key was simple as they had a return box where you drop the key in at reception. A wonderful pleasant experience and I have recommended this place to friends and family alike. I would and am planning on in future.

We stay at The Railway hotel at least once a year. It is the most Lovely hotel. Staff is always friendly and helpful, food and drinks are excellent. We stay in one of the family rooms on the ground floor. It is silent, clean and very well designed with a separate room with bunk beds for the children. The location is also perfect, a short walk from the city center, close to trains and busses and also close to parking and a well sorted grocery store.

Very spacious ground floor room with very clean walk in shower and bowl and mat for our dog. The food was good both evening and the breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. Very reasonable price - would go again. Parking nearby is a bit confusing currently as signs say the car park is suspended but people are using it and the machines all work.

I stayed at this hotel many times over the course of a month while working in the area, and it quickly became a comfortable “home away from home”. Each visit was consistently positive and stress-free. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. My room was always tidy on arrival, with everything I needed for a straightforward stay. After long working days, it was a calm and reliable place to return to. The food was also very good—consistently tasty and well prepared. I can’t comment on breakfast as I never had it, so I can’t fairly review that part. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every interaction over the month was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely relaxed. They always made time to help and made the experience feel personal rather than routine. One moment that stuck with me was when I reported a faulty hair dryer. Instead of simply replacing it, the staff member joked and asked if I actually needed one, given that I’ve got very little hair. It was light-hearted and good-natured, and it really reflected the team’s easy-going personality. Overall, the consistency of service made a big difference during a busy work period. I always felt looked after without being over-fussed, and that balance was perfect for me. I’d happily stay here again when working in the area. A comfortable, reliable hotel with genuinely friendly staff who make the stay memorable.

I absolutely loved my stay here and would definitely stay here again. From the minute I walked in I was made to feel very welcome from the two people working behind the bar, they were so warm, kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I was checked in very quickly and smoothly. My room was on the top floor up quite a few stairs but this wasn’t an issue for me as I am fully mobile and able to carry my bags upstairs. However for a less-abled person it may be a bit difficult. My room was wonderful. It was large; even with a double bed, an armchair, a wardrobe and a desk there was still plenty of room. It was so bright and airy and very clean. The shower was one of the best I’ve ever used in a hotel. The water was always warm and of a really good pressure. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was very white and crisp. All the communal areas eg stairwell, downstairs bar were very clean and decorated very tastefully. I loved all the paintings on the walls. I had breakfast and dinner which were both cooked to perfection, and in the bar the choice of beers was very good. I cannot fault this hotel at all as it was simply wonderful. Even the location was great as it was opposite the train station (I travelled by train), and it was about 15 minutes walk into the town and beach. And considering my room was above a busy pub I heard no noise from downstairs at all. Thank you to all the brilliant staff that I met, you were all amazing and perfect!
