Disappointing and Misleading – NOT the Luxury Experience Promised
Our recent stay at The Houzz was deeply disappointing and fell far short of the “Luxurious Vacation Home” the property advertises. While the home is marketed as a high-end rental with premium amenities, the reality was quite the opposite.The main reason we chose this rental was the advertised indoor heated pool and hot tub. Upon arrival, we did not have access to the pool until much later in the evening. It was not until several phone calls and messages that after 9:30 PM finally reached the pool area, only to discover that the pool was NOT heated, and the hot tub was NOT functioning at all. This was not only frustrating but misleading, as these amenities were central to the property’s appeal. When we again attempted to contact the property management or house services team for support, no one responded. The lack of communication and responsiveness only added to our disappointment. As of this writing NO contact made by the property owner (We started asking for help on night one). In addition to the issues with the pool and hot tub, the overall condition of the home reflected poor craftsmanship and a lack of maintenance. There were broken steps, non-functional lights, loose fixtures, and an overall lack of attention to detail throughout the property. It did not feel like a well-cared-for or thoughtfully maintained home.Based on our experience, I cannot recommend The Houzz to future guests. The listing is misleading, the amenities did not function as promised,
