Very nice property

We just stayed for one night but it was super clean and the fully stocked kitchen was nice so we could make our own meals. Overall very nice

Overnight stop

Farmland along I-80 on dirt roads. Traffic noise was a muted drone but not disturbing. Property was well landscaped and spotlessly clean. Definitely themed for hunters which we enjoyed. Would have liked to spend more time enjoying the nearby river but had another long drive ahead. Would definitely recommend. Google is a little off; go to last house on dirt road and turn left into parking area.

The bunkhouse

The bunkhouse was a cute and quiet place to stay. Not far from the interstate. Just stayed the night but we would most definitely stay again.

Do not bring an injured dog, elderly, or short people

While there was 1 “friendly farm dog” there were two surprise not so friendly other very large dogs. These dogs were not friendly to either of our dogs, one who had an infected gash and was heavily investigated by these not so friendly dogs. The dogs will leave permanent scratches on your car, temporary scratches on your short wife and overall will make it so you cannot even stay the night on the property. Please be aware that these dogs will be all over everything in your life. This can be ok if you are just two humans but your dogs will probably not be ready for this.additionally when you try to drive away to go to a different hotel, one pitbull-esque dog will chase after your car and bite your tires even if you honk at him so many times. Please do not come here with dogs, injured dogs, elderly, short people as the at least 3 very untrained dogs will terrorize and vandalize your bodies and car.

Barndominium Type Residence

One of our favorite type of homes. Possibly, our next home could be a Bardominium with the home and ample garage in the same type steel building. Excellent design was used on this building. Very spacious! Thanks for sharing this rental on Vrbo.

Relaxing Stay

My stay was very comfortable and quiet. The place was extremely clean and organizied. I like to cook when I travel so the fully stocked kitchen was perfect. I would stay here again and probably will.

Stranded in a blizzard

We planned to stay two nights to see the sandhill crane migration, and ended up staying a third due to being stranded by a blizzard. Hosts were able to accommodate us and asked if we needed anything. Great location for seeing cranes!

Great stay during the sandhill crane migration

I picked this space due to the proximity of the Platte River and the sandhill crane viewing experience. I used the blind and it was amazing. I saw thousands of cranes fly and land across the way. As soon as it got dark they popped over closer to me on the river with a thunderous roar. The space has everything you need. Nice and open. Beautifully decorated with nice pieces. My husband would have loved all the mounts on the walls. I would stay again if in the area.

Relax at the "Shed"

We enjoyed our stay at the "shed." Plenty of room and a nicely stocked kitchen so we could prepare all our meals and not dine out. There is a very large fridge, electric stove and plenty of dishes, and pots and pans. The Klopps are a sweet family, and we will definitely stay again. The dogs are very friendly, and nice. It is close to the interstate, but when you close the door to the bedroom to sleep, it is well insulated and we got a good nights sleep. This place is a little gem!If you travel to see the Sandhill Crane migration, don't miss going down to the river and sit in the blind that is part of the property. The birds didn't roost in the river at night while we were sitting in the blind, but when we went back before dawn, they were sure making a lot of noise. They are pretty skiddish, so some had lifted off the river by the time we got to the blind, but it was still spectacular being that close to them. When a large group would take off, you can hear a drumming noise - wings flapping.

Best Seats in the House

It's a little off the beaten path ... but that's exactly what my husband & I wanted. The barndominium has been beautifully updated and we loved the decor. The kitchen has lots of counter space and all of the necessary appliances in perfect working order. And the water tastes great!We had everything we needed and very much appreciated the restaurant recommendations. Be mindful of the two family dogs - they are friendly when introduced by the owner but one does not like vehicles, so please drive slowly. But the coup de grace is the river access! We absolutely loved sunset in the blind and watching the Crane gather by the Platte River before they roost for the night! Our souls were refreshed. If you're a bird watcher, this is the place for you!

Very Cute Cabin

Our stay was great! What a cute little cabin. It was a little hard to get to with the weather the way it was that weekend. My husband really appreciated the front walk was shoveled before we got up.

Nice living space

We were only able to use this location as a place to sleep while we were attending an event close by. I wish we could have spent more time during the day as it is a very neat area. The his as very responsive to one small issue. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on accuracy of description is because the location given for check in was close, but actually took us to a different driveway and we wound up driving into someone else’s driveway late at night trying to find this place. I would stay here again.

Weekday Getaway

This property is just as advertised. We did not come at a time to hunt or view the cranes. Instead we chose this property because of its quiet countryside and distance from cities. It is just that. It is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We enjoyed bringing some meals from home since we were going to be a distance from towns. Very relaxing place to unwind after both days touring the Pioneer Village in Minden.
