The Fingerlake region is rumored to be the place where God put his hand on the Earth visibly seen and noted as the “finger” lakes because of the five lakes that mirrored a handprint on the map. Located a couple minutes from Lake Ontario and a short distance from the other Fingerlakes. The farm house is located between Sodus and Fairhaven perfect for fishing, catching waterfalls, hitting up the Rennasaince festival or Sterling Stage.
Enter through a nice entryway to prepare you for your wonderful country stay in our Family friendly old time farmhouse with some modern work, furniture and WiFi. Perfect for families, local event attendees or fishermen. Beautiful, large space, minutes from the water, three big bedrooms, two full bathrooms, kitchen sitting area, dining room, living room with smart tv, half wrapped patio and a big brown barn also available for rent for weddings, parties and events. Let us know of any special occassions. The home is left responsible for cleaning by guests. There is a $250 deposit refunded once youve cleaned after yourself. If you require professional cleaning beforehand please let us know and there will be a $250 cleaning fee.. Please note the home is supplied with enough water for the number of people on your rental contract times the average daily use. Anything above and beyond may cost a extra water usage fee. It has a big yard and gorgeous natural landscaping. A Bon fire pit out back for some memorable nights with good conversations and s’mores. Trash pick up fridays. Please recycle. Don’t stay here
We rented this house for a week long fishing trip. Through our stay the AC never worked and the house ran out of water. When we contacted the host she told me “we used too much” and “I’m lucky she didn’t charge me a water delivery fee.” Didn’t get to shower last two days and used our bottled water to flush the toilets. Worst VRBO stay I have ever had.

Know what you're getting into before you book. The photos online make it look like a nice, quaint getaway. We arrived in the evening around 9:00 to find the house unbearably hot, especially upstairs. Dead bugs and hair were on the floor, dirty dishes were in the sink, the foundation is crumbling. The one mini-split air conditioner in the dining room did not work. Most of the windows do not have screens, so it was impossible to get fresh air without letting in thousands of mosquitoes and bats. It is advertised as sleeping 8, 5 is more like it in reality. The mattress in the "farmer's child" room smells of urine. You do not have access to the washer and dryer. We were told the fire pit was ready for us to have a bonfire, the reality was it was full of cardboard and trash. The "remodel" that you can see online in terms of new flooring is actually new planks laid over an unlevel, warped old floor. The new floor stops outside the bedroom door at the landing of the stairs and is a tripping/toe stubbing hazard. The last straw was finding two cameras with microphones in the house: one in the living room and another in a bedroom. We booked 6 nights and stayed 2 before we are able to find some place acceptable. I asked for a refund for the nights we were not staying but the owner/manager never addressed this with us. Be aware before you book this place.
