We enjoyed our stay, basic rooms, comfortable beds. Scenic setting, even in the winter. Friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor saunas. Really nice buffet breakfast that was included. One option for lunch and dinner, pub style food but tasty. During the warmer months you have 2 options for dining.

This is a Muskoka Classic. Its abit dated, but very charming, and the room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff was amazing, we would definitely be back.

No water - No apology

We have stayed here a number of times. This stay was extremely disappointing. Water in our room was not working. The shower never worked, and the sink intermittently. When we spoke to the staff, the answer was « too many people trying to shower at the same time », to « well we need new pressure tanks ». Talked to 3 people. No one tried to remedy the situation and all we got were excuses. Won’t be recommending going forward.

We loved everything about our stay at Windermere House. Great room with a view of the lake and walkout balcony at reasonable prices. Sauna, hot tub and cold plunge were very relaxing and rejuvenating. Pub had great food, (pizza, smash burger and perch tacos) great atmosphere and very friendly staff. A la carte breakfast in the Rosseau room was delicious and our waitress was super friendly and attentive. We had the omelette and French toast. Jeannette at the front desk was very friendly and informative making us feel very welcome. We will be sure to come back again. Thank you!

I’d give a 3 star at best. Underwhelming

They say it’s a 4 star but I won’t give more than 3. Service at the front desk and house keeping was below average. No activities beside the spa which was understaffed and no appointments. Front desk lady had no idea about the area. Our room wasn’t cleaned even after asking five times in the day. Restaurant food that was suppose to be fine dining was average. Pub food was average pasta and pizza were undercooked. Not worth the rating and price they present.

Windermere House is the perfect stay for a winter get away--loved after a day of snowshoeing to return to the Sauna & Jacuzzi to unwind. Our buffet breakfast (included with our stay) had a good variety of items to choose from--hot & cold. The Rosseau (main restaurant) was closed while we were there but the Windermere Pub offered excellent options & especially enjoyed the Perch.

We were lucky that not many people were staying at the hotel, making it peaceful and quiet. We also had the chance to enjoy their barrel sauna. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the spa and outdoor jacuzzi were closed, and while the pub was open, it was undergoing a small renovation and felt cold. Other than that, the food was delicious. Overall, I’d recommend it! ☺️

our first time here was in october and our stay in january was just as nice but even quieter. Only about 8 guests so we literally had the place to ourselves. it’s beautiful in the winter. Hot tub was open and sauna barrels. had our dinner in the pub our food and service was great. Breakfast was ala cart as opposed to a buffet but it was because there weren’t many here, it was still plentiful and good.
