Charming Historic Empie-Possion Cottage

The Empie-Possion Cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, NC. Three blocks from the water and a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with a pull out Queen sleeper sofa. The Empie-Possion cottage was built in 1913 and has been recently completely restored.

Enjoy a drink on the screened in patio in the back or on the historic front porch. Enjoy a stay in a recently restored historic home with a special, unique charm of its own.

Visiting the Empie-Poisson Cottage is like taking a trip back in history. Built in 1913, the Empie-Poisson cottage has been completely restored. The home has the 2 original, non-working, coal burning fireplaces, original wood floors, doors, and single pane windows. Prepare to experience historic southern charm in a cottage like no other!

The screened in porch is accessible through double doors in the bedroom. The space has a fully stocked kitchen ready to make any meal. There is a washer and dryer on the premise to wash clothes that may have gotten a spill of wine during your stay! We love your furry friends but we will ask for a non-refundable pet fee of $150 for your stay with up to two pets.

The Empie-Possion Cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington. The streets surrounding the cottage have sprawling oaks and cobblestone streets with beautiful historic homes. The cottage is 3 blocks from the Cape Fear river and six blocks or a ten minute walk to the heart of downtown. Drive to NC's most popular beach in just twenty minutes and enjoy beachfront restaurants and shopping. Bring your car or two and park in front of the house for free!
