Dont stay here!

Our room was dirty, smelly, and down right outdated and debilitated. Water backed up in tub, which had a nasty shower curtain. Power outlets between beds did not work, so i could not charge my phone or use my cpap machine. Will never try to save on a room and end up in a dump like this with outdated poor air, boobtube tv, would have rather stayed in a tent!

You get what you pay for but the pool is a lie

Pros: Price and not too rowdy.
Cons: Cleaner carpets, replace bedding, fix the pool or take it off the ad
Location: Very close to all shopping, and about 10 min drive from the beach.
I needed a single overnight stay on a holiday weekend, and with the nice shot of the pool I thought I could get some peace from my teens after driving 10 hours from New York. Judging by the amount of time that has passed since another reviewer said the pool was closed, it looks like that pool is not planned on ever opening. Its covered with cinderblocks and a painter's tarp. The room we had was ok. It did not have bugs, but the bedspreads were completely worn and stained, with cigarette burns. I brought my backup blankets from my car, which was fine. The room had some painting done recently, and the tile in the bathroom area floor was new. Remote control for the tv did not work. There was an overwhelming smell of febreze in the room, which was very suspicious. The carpet along the baseboards looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in 5 years. But this room was acceptable for about 110 bucks over a holiday weekend. I was really annoyed about the pool, because I would not have booked it otherwise. But overall, it was ok for the price I paid.

Great room for the price

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Of course this is not the Ritz, but for a clean, comfortable room, this was a great place to stay. We had originally planned to stay across the street at the Carolinian Inn, but the room there was bad, very bad, so we came here. 300% better than that other and the people were very friendly and accomodating. Will definately go back if ever in the area again and would recommend it to others.

Good room for the money!

The room was very clean and the personnel at the front desk were very friendly. The only issue was the air conditioner was loud, but it worked outstanding.

Second worse ever

Next to the Williamsburg Super 8, this hotel is the worse we have ever encountered. The desk clerk was snotty, condescending, and impolite as if she were being imposed upon. We had bargained with the travel agency for a non-smoking room. The first thing that hit us when we opened the door was the odor of stale smoke. The room was barely furnished with absolutely no amenities. We immediately departed the room and returned to the main desk. The clerk acted offended and thankfully she had no non-smoking rooms available. We had been in the room about 30 seconds and out of her sight for 3 minutes, but she found it necessary to check and see if we had used the bed or toilet (we had not). The only positive thing about this encounter was the fact that, because she had no available non-smoking rooms, she gave us a full refund. We then went to the Quality Inn where we had stayed on a previous occasion, got a room and enjoyed our vacation.

Weekend in Wilmington

Went down to Wilmington with the family for a quick getaway trip. Weather was nice so we headed to the beach for a walk and dinner. The accommodations were very clean and look to be recently renovated. Staff was very friendly and helpful in guiding us to different destinations. Quiet, clean place in nice location of Wilmington. Would stay here again and reccommend it.

Last minute

This hotel is okay for a last minute reservation if you don't have anywhere else to stay. The rooms are clean but they are really old and the bathrooms are pretty gross looking. The tub was clogged and the sinks didn't work well. The parking lot is dirty and it smells weird in the lobby. The pool was the only thing I liked it was clean and really nice. The rooms are okay to crash one night but I wouldn't want to spend more time than that in there. They need to be remodeled and the hotel needs to be painted outside and the parking lot needs cleaning. The staff was helpful.
