Has potential to be better!

Hotel looked nice from the outside, with golf course on room terrace. I booked the deluxe room, expecting a high standard, however, it was a large room, but the bed was very uncomfortable, there was no A/C, the TV was very old and none of limited satellite channels did not work, the bathroom again again a good size, had mould on the ceiling, silicone sealant was just thrown on around the toilet, no extract system and looked very dated and worn. I ate in the restaurant, food was really nice, £40 for 2 courses and 2 diet cokes. Not the best place to stay.

Stay was good, there was quite a few stains on the carpet in the room, when the cleaners come into the room daily they don’t make the bed and would just chuck the clean towels on the side of the bed. Room service communication was poor as after 9:00 you could not order hot food. Reception was lovely when checked in but told us the wrong information about getting hot food. Overall stay was good but room could have done with a more thorough clean.

Stayed one night to attend a funeral locally. The room was comfortable enough and breakfast was buffet style but fine. EV drivers should note that the charging provider has been rebranded as Roam and not EVC Plus on the signs. Download their app before you arrive as it’s 3G signal strength in the car park. Plenty of chargers though and more being installed which was great to see.

The reason I haven’t given higher rating is the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower sealant was discoloured with mould in parts and the extractor fan in the ceiling had dust hanging out of it

Nice overnight stay...comfortable room with comfy large bed. Bar shut at 9pm which was disapointing, Breakfast wasnt the best, but staff were friendly and polite.
