Overall, our stay was great! It had a rocky start which is why I docked 1 star. We booked an extended stay for an anniversary getaway and reserved a 1bd king with walk in shower/separate tub. The listing info says there is an additional deposit for the stay. Approx 4 to 5 days previous to our departure date, we received check-in information which suddenly changed the deposit from a flat fee to per night. We were staying 8 nights, so this significantly increased our deposit. I reached out to the establishment asking about the discrepancy and waited 2 days with no response. I then contacted hotels.com customer service and they pushed for answer for us. Finally, Evolution responded on day 3 and clarified that it is one price if you pay cash but different if on a credit card. Okay, but it should be detailed in the listing as such, and response time to questions from booked guests should be better.
We arrived and checked in early evening. Dropped off bags and went to get dinner. When we got back, I realized we had been placed in a different room than what I had selected. I called the front desk and was told nothing they could do, to call back in the morning. In the morning, it went overall smoothly to getting it fixed. Thankfully, we had not unpacked much in anticipation of moving so it was not terribly difficult to change rooms.
That is when the stay finally went right and we had a very lovely time there after. Room was clean and very nice. The hot tub and sauna are amazing!
