We had problems getting the door to stay closed. We had to ask for more towels, there were only enough for one person. All the offered for their advertised continual breakfast was instant oatmeal. The room was nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

visiting son at college

Pros: quite nicely accessible for wheelchair user,
Cons: satellite TV reception was quite poor, less than 1/2 of channels even got a signal
Location: walked to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, convenient
in retrospect, too far away from Elkins, satellite TV channels only 1/2 worked, coffee ran out at 8pm,

Basic lodging--gets the job done

Pros: It was clean and somewhat close to where I was traveling.
Cons: Seems like the staff could use some training on how to be more professional and competent at their jobs.
Location: There really wasn't anything to do or see or real restaurants at which to eat nearby, just a lot of fast food.
There isn't much to choose from in the area, so in the big picture it was fine. Very simple, pretty much no amenities to speak of, but I was there for a quick interview and then was back on the road so it did the job. Something was making a loud noise in the bathroom so I had to shut the door in order to sleep, and the front desk girl totally reeked of cigarette smoke, so that was kind of a turn off. The free breakfast was a little lacking (the 'cooked' items looked a little dodgy), but if you are ok grabbing a piece of fruit and some yogurt, it's not too bad. Biggest disappointment was that my wake up call was an hour late, which in my mind is pretty inexcusable. That was pretty much all I asked of the place and they couldn't get that right. But if you are in a pinch and need a clean place to stay, this will do.
