Family Reunion for the Fourth

The house was spacious and lovely, just as pictured online. There was ample room for our group of 26. The outdoors were also beautiful and inviting, as pictured. We had a pickleball tournament (organized and equipped by the kids), volleyball, hide-and-seek (always a favorite) and more. No WIFI or working TV kept the kids off-screen for a few days, but they hardly noticed!

Great host

We enjoyed our stay. My family and I had a family reunion booked at this cabin. The age range in our group was between 4 years old to 72 years old. It was a total of 31 people and the sleeping accommodations fit us all. The host was very nice and answered all our questions. The property had private access to a river, and although it was kind of steep going back up from the river to the cabin for an elderly person, us younger folks enjoyed the convenient access. The kitchen had all the necessary tools to cook up warm meals. There was enough refrigeration space for food. I would recommend this place to others.

Overall, this property is beautiful! Everything was clean, and the layout of the house is awesome for large groups! There is plenty of table seating and dishes for large groups (often overlooked), and there were tons of games, activities, etc. We used the space for a family reunion with a variety of ages and multiple family units of different sizes, and the different bedroom layouts worked great! Plenty of space to divide into smaller groups or all hang out together.We ran into some issues during our stay, however:- We received an incorrect code for disarming the security system upon check-in (that happens), and our contact did not respond to our calls (that shouldn't happen).- There were plenty of bathrooms, but only 1 shower could be used at a time.- The promised canoe and kayaks did not have paddles or lifejackets, and the volleyball court has not been maintained.- There were other small maintenance issues, and information in general was lackingMost of these are pretty minimal issues, and we still had a wonderful time, but for the price we paid, we expected a near-perfect property, or at least what we were promised. I would still recommend the property as a whole (and hopefully these issues with be resolved for future guests), but we just wish the price had reflected the current state of things.
