Alles war super! Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der kleinen Wohnung, der Lage (nur 5min bis zum Strand) und den Komfort der Gastgeber*innen, die extrem freundlich und vor allem zuvorkommend waren. Zudem begeisterte uns, dass man Fahrräder kostenfrei nutzen konnte und im Garten einen eigenen Bereich mit Strandkorb hatten.

Sehr schöne ruhige Ferienwohnung, und herzliche Gastgeberinnen!
Diese Ferienwohnung war alles was ich mir erhofft hatte, und mehr! Ich hatte gesucht nach einer Wohnung für mich allein für eine ruhige Woche.
Wie die Beschreibung und Bilder vermuten lassen, ist die Wohnung nicht teil einer Kette, sondern wird privat betrieben -- das war dann einer meiner Gründe, sie zu wählen. Auf Kontaktaufnahme haben die Vermieterinnen schnell und sehr freundlich reagiert. Vor Ort war der Kontakt ebenfalls herzlich.
Die Wohnung ist eher in Randlage, nicht direkt im Zentrum einer der belebten Ortskerne. Man hat also dort wirklich Ruhe, wenn man sie möchte. Die nächstgelegenen Strandaufgänge sind gut per Fuß zu erreichen.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet: Wer sich als Selbstversorger selber Mahlzeiten zubereiten möchte, so wie ich es oft getan habe, kann das problemfrei machen. Es gibt Ofen und vier Kochplatten (Gas), Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, und einen kleinen Geschirrspüler. Ansonsten gibt es noch Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Eierkocher und (für mich als Teetrinker wichtig) einen Wasserkocher. Töpfe, Pfannen, Teller und Besteck sind ausreichend vorhanden.
Ein paar kurze Worte zur umliegenden Infrastruktur:
In nächster Nähe findet man u.a. Bäcker und einen Edeka. Für Einkäufe nach 19:00 muss man nach Westerland zum Rewe. Zum Kleiderwaschen muss man, falls nötig, ebenfalls nach Westerland in die Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs -- eine Waschmaschine hat die Wohnung nicht. (Das wusste ich aber von Vornherein und war kein Problem; nicht als Kritik interpretieren. Ich empfehle die Mitnahme von 1+2€-Münzen und kleine Scheine; der Bezahlautomat beim SB Waschsalon 2000 kann noch kein EC.)
Auf der Insel war ich hauptsächlich per Fahrrad unterwegs -- teilweise mit meinem eigenen Brompton-Faltrad, teilweise mit einem der Fahrräder, die von der Wohnung aus zur Verfügung stehen. Die Straßen und Radwege auf Sylt sind von unterschiedlicher Güte -- zum Beispiel die Weststrandstraße im Nordwesten der Insel ist deutlich 'rauer', und da war ich sehr froh um das angenehmere Fahrgefühl des Elektra-Fahrrads.
Was kann ich noch sagen? Ich hoffe, ich kann ein Andermal wieder kommen.
