Room #1418 was clean, with no bugs, and had a very comfortable bed. The employees were kind, especially the little old lady at the check-out desk by the second parking lot entrance. She offered me the last of the coffee before putting it away, and we chatted for a bit, which was sweet of her. My favorite part of the hotel was the interesting and varied selection of tea offered in the lobby. It wasn’t just the standard black, breakfast, green, or chamomile tea. They also had options like Sleepytime, Orange & Spice, and Lemon Ginger, as well as apple cider. For improvements, the coffee machine in Room #1418 had to be moved across the room because there wasn’t an accessible outlet nearby. The coffee tray was broken, with the rim lifting up and the bottom melted onto the wooden TV dresser. The dresser was scuffed and could use a fresh coat of paint or refinishing.

The staff was extremely courteous and check in was easy. I didn't expect the room and bathroom to be so small. It looked really nice on the outside but parking was not easy. That could be because it was on the side of a mountain and the only level ground was around the lake which was beautiful. So it was okay for 1-night. I would not stay more than that and I probably won't stay there again. Friends stayed at Air BnB which was much nicer.

Noisy and old. Although a beautiful location this property is in need of some serious updating and redecorating. Our ceilings had peeling paint and brown damp patches. Beds were too soft (rolled into the middle) and furnishings were dated and shabby/scratched looking. Air conditioning units were extremely noisy! Cleanliness however could not be faulted.

The condition of the room was terrible, we found cockroaches, sheets on the bed were extremely wrinkled, heat was not working ( temperature at night dropped to 35 ) breakfast area we had to change 4-5 plates because they were dirty Windows of the resort were not clean and full of spiders like a gohst house

Overall, our stay was excellent. The beauty of the area made the stay unique and relaxing. We enjoyed the huge stone fireplace and cozy commons room! The staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. The included breakfast was much better than anticipated with potatoes, sausage, bacon, eggs, waffles, vogues and toppings, fruit and much more. Our room with 2 queens was updated, very clean and quiet. Our room with a king bed was not updated and noisy due to loud toilets. We could hear all of them around us when flushed. The windows needed cleaned really badly. It was sad to have such a beautiful view marred by tons of bugs and webs. Across the street, we enjoyed the artisan gift shop and ice cream while sitting in rockers enjoying views of the lake. Beautiful place and we would definitely stay again but not in a king room on the second floor.

The room Air Conditioning unit was so loud, sounded like an airplane engine. Awful. I turned it off and the room got to hot so spent my nights turning the unit on and off. Got absolutely no sleep for 2 nights. Will not go back. We told front desk and they said “nothing “.
