Thanksgiving getaway
I rented this property for the week of Thanksgiving. The house was such a wonderful space for a family gathering. It was a great area for my dogs as well. All questions were quickly answered. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone that wants a beautiful getaway with easy access to Waynesville, Asheville, and Black Mountain.

Lovely views!
We came to North Carolina to attend my husband's family reunion and, of course, to see the beautiful fall colors! I wanted a place where it would great to wake up at. Relaxing to go to in the evening. Peaceful to sleep at night. Well, it certainly delivered! My kids wanted to keep the house and just live there forever. At 4 and 5 years old, it seemed like a logical idea to them. Anyway, morning coffee on the front porch swing was a great way to start each morning. The hot tub felt great after a long day driving and catching up with relatives. My favorite part, the part that sold me on this place, was the library upstairs. It had comfy chairs, plenty of books to choose from, and it even had toys for the kids. As I curled up in one of the chairs, I could see far over the beautiful valley and hills. (We've actually decided to include something similar in our own house plan designs now.)
Definitely a great place to stay!

The one star ratings: the parking is not motorcycle friendly, and there is one neighbor that's a real grouchy. Laundry needs to have up dated appliances,
Otherwise the property has a homey feel. And the ratings should be higher

Scenic, quiet, relaxing getaway
This house is so cute. We were entertained by the fish, the cows, the chickens, and the birds and butterflies, and the gardens. It was hit or miss rain all weekend, but the covered porches allowed us to still be outside during the time of showers. Robyn and Jeff were quick to answer any questions about the property and the surrounding area. The pet linens were a nice touch!

Review of the Gardener’s House
This property is set in a glorious garden. During the day, we saw a cute woodchuck poke his head through the gated deck, loads of gorgeous butterflies feeding on the nectar of butterfly bushes, and lots of bunnies and other wildlife. The setting is fairyland! The cute house is comfortable and cozy with many nooks to read books and hang out. The house needs updating, especially the kitchen sink needs re-enameling and a sweep of the drawers is needed to clear out old and worn cooking utensils and some of the baking sheets. The pots were amazing. The location is also great; between the Great Smoky National Park and Asheville with cute Waynesville just down the road with everything you need. The secluded spot has spotty internet connection so plan on getting off the grid and relaxing.

What a beautiful rental!
This property is fantastic. The house is beautiful and fully-stocked with everything you’ll need. The back deck is amazing - completely with a koi pond, hot tub, and views of the mountains. This property has gorgeous plants growing everywhere - the entire place is one big beautiful garden! We had a great time and can’t wait to visit again

There was so much negativity from the beginning
There are notes every where throughout the house, don't do this don’t do that. The house says it sleeps 10, so when you rent it they charge by the person. The house was not clean. The pics make the house look larger than what it is. There is no central air only window units in each bedroom but not units in the living room and the kitchen (the main rooms). The back porch and the view were amazing.

Summer Solstice - Flowers and Fireflies
Birthday week and family visited us NC folk from Calif and we decided to make it a memorable getaway. The house and grounds are truly beautiful and very comfortable. Perfect timing as other family close by visited for a grand cookout on the spacious deck. Watching the fireflies at dusk into dark sparkle the trees in the field was incredible!! And do not forget to turn off all the lights and lay down to see the stars!! ( or other unknowns :-) The birds songs! ... they seemed to love us as much as we loved them. Thank you so much for the the VERY comfortable beds and and a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. I hope to return. God bless.

Weekend getaway
Our stay at Garden Frog Trail was a much needed getaway. The house was large enough for our group, 4 adults, 1 kid and a dog. For a trip scheduled last minute, we thought this location would be an experience. Waking up and being surrounded by farm animals was a hoot. The roster woke us up every morning between 4:00 and 4:30. It was special to have fresh eggs from the sweet hens on the property. Walking the grounds and noticing the hard work Robyn has put into making your stay peaceful and beautiful, was appreciated. The house is an old one but, very well maintained. My family loved the mornings with the cattle from the adjoining properties. The hot tub was a nice expense. We also enjoyed visiting the Waynesville downtown area.

Well Appointed Stay
The house has so many great qualities and a peaceful location you can see from the pictures, but what you don't see makes a great stay a wonderful stay. She has everything you would need ready for you from hot tea choices to bird seed to feed the birds, I presume. The home is prepared for families with lots of little items younger guests would enjoy. Fresh eggs in the refrigerator when we arrived, and flashlights to find your way to the wonderful hot tub. Just a wonderful find and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fun Mountain Adventure
We just returned from our visit to Frog Holler and had a wonderful weekend. Robyn was super-responsive to every question we had and even brought us a new propane take at a moment's notice. The fresh eggs were the best we have ever had and left us wanting more! The location was great, only 30 minutes from Asheville, 30 minutes from some great hikes and 10 minutes from shopping and downtown Waynesville. Our only complaint is that the WiFi was incredibly slow, almost unusable. With the lack of cell service (understandable), not having even a below average WiFi connection is not a great feeling. All in all, it was a wonderful family weekend in the mountains and we would definitely return.

Very beautiful and wonderful home with gardens
Beautiful place to get away. The home is wonderfully taken care of and has a garden with pond to watch fish. You can hear some road noise from the interstate but the view of the gardens and koi pond and front porch swing and every other amenity beats the noise issue. Close enough to several hikes which we enjoyed being able to see several of them. Pisgah and Great Smokey's just an hour's drive to get to some great and fun hikes. Robyn was amazing and highly responsive and provided us with all the insight and amenities we needed when we arrived and even was able to suggest some hiking and town information for us.

Lovely farm house
This was a nice stay but the property listing could use to be updated. The house was clean and nice but not completely renovated. It’s a bit dated but still a nice place for a short stay. I should have payed more attention to the map because the house is located close to the interstate so there is constant road noise. Not really as peaceful and quite as we expected. The main problem we had was the fact that the host wouldn’t send someone to remove a large and active wasp nest above the outdoor eating area. She expected us to do it ourselves. Also, at the top of the stairs there is a gate to stop kids from falling down the stairs but there is a gap between the wall and the banister that is large enough for a small child to fit through and fall to the living room. These seem like safety issues that should be addressed.

Great spot!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gardener's Cottage. The cottage was very clean and well supplied. Robyn was a wonderful host and was extremely responsive when we had questions. The cottage is roomy and the beds are comfortable. The back porch is really nice. A large table by the grill and a spot away from the grill to sit and relax. Not to mention the relaxing hot tub. I would highly recommend,

Peaceful Farmhouse
From the moment we drove up to the Gardener’s House at Frog Holler, we knew it was special. From the front porch overlooking a garden setting full of butterflies, to the rear deck with its koi pond, hot tub, sitting areas and beautiful table seating (again with a lovely garden/mountain view); it was truly a perfect place to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked, including a surprise of fresh farm eggs, veggies and a complimentary bottle of wine. The bedrooms and living area were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was, as the entire home, immaculate. There were even pillows, toys and a treat waiting for our little dog. We enjoyed hearing the happy sounds of the chickens, roosters and neighboring cows. The best part of our first rental experience was the kindnesses and accommodations provided by the owner Robyn. She responded quickly to any questions we might have. We would definitely enjoy a return visit to this lovely home.

We enjoyed our stay at the farm.
Accommodations were a little tight for our extended family of ten, but we enjoyed morning interactions with the neighborhood cows, and our resident chickens. The grandkids fed the koi each day, and we ate dinner each evening on the wonderful backyard porch. So many butterflies. It was a rainy week but we still managed to hike in Pisgah, visit Cherokee, and raft on the Tuck. Thanks for our summer mountain vacation experience.

Amazing outdoor space
The pictures of the yard do not do this property justice! It was both bigger and more beautiful than expected. The host was very responsive to questions.
The house worked well for our family of 5. Sound didn't carry at all so we could stay up after kids were in bed with no fear of waking them. There were a few parts of the house that could do with a bit of refurbishing but overall it was very comfortable. The back porch with the glass topped table was a perfect space for eating large meals and stayed much cooler than any other part of the house. We had a great stay and were very happy with our experience.

Charming bungalow and garden with easy access to I-40
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gardener's House at Frog Holler. The house was immaculate and inviting upon arrival. There was plenty of room for the six of us and the kitchen was well-appointed. And don't forget the back deck! It was so nice sitting out on the spacious deck, listening to the water fall into the koi pond and looking out over the gardens and fields, complete with grazing cattle. The house was easily accessible from I-40, which is great if you intend to explore the region. Highly recommended.
