The space
Misty View Cabin is the perfect escape for the ultimate "cabin in the mountains" experience. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be captivated by the stunning views and the peaceful serenity that surrounds you. Relax on the deck and feel the world melt away.
Looking for romance? You’ve found it. Evenings are especially magical—bring a bottle of wine, light the small fire pit on the deck, and take in the breathtaking mountain views under the stars.
The master bathroom features a heated garden tub with whirlpool jets for a luxurious soak. Planning a group getaway? The cabin comfortably accommodates up to eight adults, offering plenty of space to relax and reconnect.
Outdoor dining is a breeze with a large charcoal grill and ample seating across two spacious decks. Gather around the fire pit in the yard for campfires, laughter, and late-night s’mores.
And if you need a little connection to the outside world, the cabin is equipped with WiFi, cable HDTV, and a DVD player—so you can stay as plugged in (or unplugged) as you like.
Guest access
Access to the cabin is easy and clearly marked on all major navigation apps. Located in Waynesville, NC—just 30 minutes west of Asheville—the cabin offers convenient travel without the hassle.
There’s ample parking available at both the basement level and the main entrance. The gravel driveway provides excellent traction, making it a reliable surface for vehicles in all weather conditions, especially on inclines.

Enjoy a memorable stay at Misty View Cabin, where the stunning views of Mount Lowry can be appreciated both day and night. On clear evenings, the illuminated cross atop Mount Lowry is clearly visible, thanks to the cabin’s elevated location at approximately 3,200 feet.
Stargazing here is truly special—step into the backyard to witness a brilliant night sky, or gather around our in-ground, Native American–style fire pit to roast marshmallows and share stories with friends.
Prefer a quieter moment? Settle into a rocking chair on the front porch with a glass of wine, light the smaller fire pit, and let the soft glow of the flames and the beauty of the night wrap you in a sense of peace and connection with nature.
Please know that lady bugs are very active and hard to prevent to access the inside during the winter months, they are inoffensive and should not be smashed.
