Nice and comfortable
Nice, clean, and comfortable stay. The H street corridor is not too exciting but we did like the streetcar and Whole Foods. My only complaint was that for 4 people, it would have been nice to have a hand towel for the lower level bathroom and 4 washcloths - all we had were two black "make-up" washcloths. Communication was great and suggestions were very helpful. Coffee and tea was nice to have.

Perfect location!
Charming three level apartment that was perfect for my family. My teenager had his own space in the basement as well as having space for all three of us to be together. The apartment is close to trolley stop to get to Union Station to the Metro for sight seeing. And when we were finished sightseeing, we came back to shops and delicious restaurants within short walking distance as advertised. Perfect for our small family!

Great stay! Would absolutely stay again.
Beautiful home- modern conveniences and lovely historical details. Clear instructions and everything you’d need.
Four out five starts for the neighborhood as there tons of great spots to eat and a lovely neighborhood to walk around in but it’s definitely a busy city atmosphere- meaning there’s some ambient noise on the street that may be heard inside so if you are looking for something closer to a quiet suburban area- this may not fit the bill.
However- I’m a city person so it didn’t bother me at all!
I especially enjoyed walking around the residential streets with the lush greenery and beautiful 110 year old homes.

Roomy and pretty house
The house was well equipped, had really everything we needed. The basement was a really comfy place to hang out. The beds were comfortable.
You need a permit to park and we had a rental car so it was a bit of a hassle, but worked out.
The neighborhood is mostly nice, but some noisy some of the nights. I would def. rent this place again

Seven-day Stay
We spent seven days touring The Capital and Smithsonian. Kaprice’s home was well equipped and comfortable. Kaprice was immediately responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Plenty of eating establishments nearby with a free street car providing easy access. The clawfoot tub shower might be challenging for older folks or those with mobility challenges. We used Uber to navigate the city, but I’m sure more adventurous folks could easily get around via the metro. Loved the historic home and the surrounding residential neighborhood. Thanks Kaprice!

Spring Break Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely home. It was perfect for my family of three. The location was very central and so easy to get around. Kaprice was a great host and was very attentive to any needs/questions we had. Having a laundry room was a huge bonus and helped us to be able to pack light. We created so many wonderful memories here for our first trip to Washington DC. We look forward to coming back and definitely renting this place again.

Great location
My teenager, husband and I celebrated an Xmas vacation this year and enjoyed our stay on H Street. We ate at nearly every restaurant within walking distance and loved every meal. We also enjoyed a very merry Xmas Eve with the friendly bartenders of the Queen Vic. It was a bit of a trek, but one day we walked to the Washington Monument from the VRBO - and I am not one to typically do that much walking - so it is doable! Kaprice was always quick to respond when we had a question, the space was comfortable and perfectly met our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Central location, near a lot
We have a very pleasant time overall. The house was adequately stocked with a wide range of things we may have needed. One minor change was the shower was very very small. It’s a claw foot tub which has a circular curtain around it and the curtain would stick to you, (it was new and clean) which was much appreciated. The wood floors were a bit rough but on par with the age of the house.
Overall all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Family Vaycay
My husband and I decided to take our toddler on one last big family trip before we welcomed our newest little to the family. The house was gorgeous, spacious, and cozy. I will say as someone who isn’t used to, or fond of big cities it was a bit noisier than expected. There was some loud music played almost nightly on the corner, so the TV or sound machine was needed every night to drown out the noise.
Overall very nice house and aside from the nightly partying on the corner a pretty quiet area.

Great location for a family
Our kids (10-17) loved the place and were able to find space for themselves when family-time or sibling-time started to be too much. The adults also appreciated the ability to get space! Kitchen was excellent (coffee pot is small-we just ran it numerous times). I’m not great with technology, but my partner and kids were able to solve any difficulties in that arena (I had zero problems with codes and locks though).
Appreciated the noise machine in the bedroom (it’s a city. Expect sirens and other noises).
Very diverse community. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. Use of the H street trolley (free) made most of our trips easier (shorten walks to the mall/museums, ease in grocery shopping and getting luggage to and from union station). We walk a lot, but definitely didn’t need a car with this location. Smaller kids may need more subway trips.
This was our first non-hotel experience. We’re so glad we did it. Hotels to accommodate 5 were nearby as expensive. And obviously lack kitchens and the other perks.
