I really liked the hotel’s decor and service. The only thing I didn’t like is that when you make a reservation, they state that parking and breakfast are included, but in reality, they are just available for an extra charge! Parking costs $45 per night, and breakfast is à la carte. If you’re considering the nightly cost, keep in mind that parking is extra and breakfast is not included.

Stayed here for our elopement

Room was clean and modern. Service was friendly. Hotel smells amazing. Had no problem getting parking in the hotel lot. It's an older building with some manageable traffic noise and some of your neighbor's noise as well. Not a problem I had as I live in a busy neighborhood, but something to be aware of. Close to everything we wanted. Very affordable. Will stay again.

The front desk staff was stark and unwelcoming (overworked and didn’t care vibes). The hotel feels more like a hostel for digital nomads. Nothing luxurious. Rooms are very small. Bathroom was about 3 feet wide and 6 feet long - that’s it. Sink was in the room hallway. Parking is a HUGE problem here. I would not stay here again.

Hotel Nell was by far one of the best hotels in the DC area. Its impressive decor, comfortable rooms and outstanding location complete the package. We will definitely return.

Stylish but lacking

Hotel was very modern, but rooms were small and poorly soundproofed. Could hear honking outside and conversations in hallways. I was constantly thirsty all night, I think was off with the perfume they spray the rooms with

Front desk displayed unprofessional & no courtesy

My partner and I came to DC during the snowstorm hit and everything was closed. We enjoyed our stay there and tried to communicate about extend our stay for one more night with a front desk about 7 pm. He was rude and left in middle of conversation. We decided to moved to Kellogg hotel next day even there were no one driving (taxi, uber, lyft, etc)
