I didn’t like that there was nothing on TV. No cable, not even free (!) satellite channels! Everything has to be logged into and paid for yourself. Watching TV in your hotel is a quintessential experience and I was disappointed that the several-hundred-dollar per night fee wasn’t enough for basic TV channels. No breakfast, And I tried to call the front desk while out and got bounced around 5 times before giving up. It’s not easy to get ahold of them. But otherwise nice and clean. Water could be faster to warm but it was very cold when I visited.

Wow!! Luxurious and super clean room. All the amenities you’d want and more. Not sure if they did have local tv or cable, I was able to download and log into my YouTubeTV account on the Roku smart tv. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. They put earplugs on each side of the bed, didn’t know why at first. In the morning it was noise coming from machinery outside. I could also hear the people above us walking, taking and playing music. Thin floors I guess. Overall I would stay here again.

Check-in was great - the woman at the front desk was amazingly friendly, offering a basket of snacks and engaging in conversation with our young kids. She even went outside to help move cars so we could park directly in front of the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. We'll definitely be coming back!

Be very careful with this place. First, I booked a two bedroom suite months ago for my family of four. When we check in, we are given a one bedroom suite with no mention of the switch. I find my receipt and send it to them asking them to rectify the issue. While we are dinner, they text me asking if it would be ok if they were to just give me an additional studio room to make up for it. It's not ideal but I say fine. After checkout, they send emails two invoices for a total of $1,000. No explanation. I ask for an explanation and they say that we caused "significant damage to the wall and furniture" which requires professional remediation to repair. Wow - we used the lodging to sleep and take showers and otherwise, we were outside touring DC. There is zero chance we caused any damage. It's been several hours since I asked them for proof - not surprising because there is no proof. I think this hotel is run like a criminal organization. I'm obviously going to dispute the charge and this review will remain here. What did they think was going to happen? I'm not going to notice the charge? I'm going to eat the charge when I caused no damage? It's a shame as the location and amenities of the place is great. Stay there but watch your wallet very carefully, monitor your credit and be prepared to go to war with these guys.

I highly recommend staying at the Mint House. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our suite came with a fully equipped kitchen which was so convenient. The suite was spacious, quiet, and super clean! Fantastic location! Close to many attractions.
