Very convenient and clean
It was nice to have a clean, modern place to stay that is walking distance to Brookland, where my daughter lives. Hotels are not close to her so this was an excellent alternative. Modern appliances, great shower, and comfortable bed were a definite plus. The building and apartment are secure with codes locks.

I considered this apartment my home away from home. Because the unit is super cozy and is just the right size for a single person, or a small family. This listing looks exactly like the photo nice, spacious, and extremely clean. The host is very hospitable and kind. Once you message the host, you will receive a reply within 2-3 minutes. Also, you could hop on the Metro, or call a ride share and you are off to see the wonderful DC city. I plan on returning to DC in the near future, and his is a listing I would revisit.

I have taken pictures of all details in this listing, and my main issue with this place is that the condition of the unit, particularly the walls and bathroom were not as clean and pristine as the pictures imply. There are scratches and marks almost on every wall throughout the place, as well as small chips including the closets and bathroom It doesn’t appear the place was painted or repainted recently up to standard. Also, in the bathroom, along the rim of the tub, there was a black lining of mold that was forming, implying the bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, scrubbed or sprayed with bleach before my stay. The ceiling and walls are very thin and I could hear the upstairs neighbors or guests walking around and making noise in the above apartment late into the night which did not allow for the most peaceful sleep. There were also dozens of garbage trucks that passed by through the northeast D.C. area at night and in the early morning which created more noise pollution outside. The surrounding neighborhood blocks also had cockroaches crawling around and it did not feel the safest to arrive to the area at night.I had a very quick stay and stood in the unit for less than 10 hours checking out early because I was not completely comfortable in the conditions.
