Decent location and great price

I was in town for a festival and the hotel location was very convenient especially being accessible to the metro etc. My room was quite comfortable and clean. The housekeeping service was attentive and efficient. Wish there was some type of continental breakfast..overall I enjoyed my stay!

nice hotel near downtown DC

Cons: including breakfast would be a nice touch....
We were pleasantly surprised at the location, as well as, the condition of the hotel. It was clean, renovated and comfortable right next to a Metro line with easy access to all the monuments and attractions. Many places were easy to walk to including restaurants and night life. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive!

Next to National Ballpark & Metro

Convenient location in newly renovated part of town.  Great staff and service, better than most Courtyards I have stayed in.  Just a block to Metro line and National Ballpark

No Parking!!!!!!!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: no parking
The Hotel was clean but they had no parking for guest, the Nationals baseball team was in town and all guest parking was full so we had to drive up and down the street trying to find a parking place for the night. After the ball game they only had one elevator working for 15 floors of rooms, the line stretched to the front door. If you did decide to buy a beer and wait for the elevator you was better off buying it at the ball park. We requested a late check out for the next day and was granted one for 1:30 but house keeping was not notified nor did they pay attention to the do not disturb sign hanging on the door. I truely felt like I was in D.C., the hotel was ran like our government no one took responsibility and the blame was always on some else.

This Hotel was as advertised!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Our stay was a very pleasant experience. Location to the Metro was perfect! only two eating places near by but apparently this is a developing neighborhood! Only real complaint was the so called sports bar and restaurant were either not open or closed early during typical business hours! that being said it was a very good Hotel!

Good Hotel Experience

This hotel was an oasis in a city that can drive you nuts! My husband and I drove to DC and managed to miss a turn and found the hotel almost 3 hours later. One way streets and no U turns was the problem - NOT the hotel. After an exhausting drive we were met by a very friendly and understanding staff who bent over backward to make us happy. The room was great. The only problem was that the hotel isn't really close to a good restaurant (walking distance). Luckily our daughter lives there and was able to pick us up and drive us around. Otherwise we would have had to contend with taking a taxi or the Metro (which, as non-big city people we wern't used to). All in all the stay was great. It was the drive there and back that left alot to be desired. I highly recommend this hotel to someone who likes taking taxi's and subways. (and if you drive they have an on-site parking garage that costs $17/day as opposed to other hotels in the area who charge $39/day).

Good value for the money

The Courtyard is a nice new hotel. Location is a bit awkward, there's not much within walking distance, but real close to a metro stop. Being out of towners, we thought it would be closer to sightseeing but we didn't look into the location that closely ahead of time. We had an hour long wait to get our room at 4:00 on the day of check-in. They upgraded us to a suite, but it was almost like it was more convenient for them since it was ready than it was an apology to us. Our kids had to sleep on a pull-out sofa, which was fine but wouldn't have suited other guests. Beds were super-comfortable. Pool and hot-tub was nice to have but a bit dirty. Breakfast buffet was just OK - they should do away with the long wait for the waffles and custom omelettes. Parking was reasonable. I would try to find a location closer next time but it was good in our last-minute pinch.

Highly recommended

The staff at this hotel were all so nice to us. The front desk staff especially with directions, suggestions, etc. They were so patient with us "tourists". We were very comfortable at the hotel and enjoyed our stay immensely. We would stay here again if in the area. It was a little further away from some of the sites but the metro location was so close that it made it convenient. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Nice & Comfortable Hotel

Good location, one block from the Metro, spent only $15 on the Metro the entire weekend! Nice rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, nice shower head, faucet could take off paint with its pressure! LOL Flat screen TV was a definite plus. Front desk was very helpful. Very close to the Nationals Ballpark. An ideal location if you are coming to see the Nationals play your favorite ball team. Within in minutes, via Metro, to the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Smithsodian sites, the Verizon Center, Chinatown (plenty of restaurants/bars). There was a CVS one block from hotel, as well as a Starbuck's Coffee shop.
