Great location, great restaurants although the bar was really noisy on the rooftop. The elevators were really slow and at times, felt like only one of four was ever working. The TV in the room kept going in and out. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

It’s a nice looking hotel & they have friendly, helpful staff. Location is convenient & near the metro. BUT the rooftop bar parties are loud & occupy ALL the elevators all evening. Even on Sunday night. It’s also hot in lobby where you wait in line on the elevators as drunk party goers are stuffed into the elevators like sardines on their way down from the roof. Perhaps Arlo should just designate one or two elevators specifically for the roof bar!! Can hear roof bar dj music 3 blocks away - so easy to locate the Arlo coming back in the dark from metro, lol. Never got to use the pool in evening as next to the loud packed bar - pool is small. They charge a fee for amenities & you don’t really get to use. In our two queens room it was actually fairly quiet & comfy but very crowded in all the public spaces over the 3 nights we stayed. Mini fridge was convenient - tho hard to find any ice. I’d stay again if i knew for sure it was not a rooftop dj night. Shower worked great & bed was comfy.

The hotel was very nice but I probably would not stay there again. It was just not our vibe. Rooms are very small but comfortable. Showers are nice. The Bodga is a good place to grab a quick bite and a coffee. Other than that we didn’t not eat at the hotel.

Way Overpriced - Especially the Restaurant

It was in the 90's, but there was no sheet on the bed - just a comforter. Thermostat wouldn't go below 68. Shower wouldn't get cool, let alone cold. $67 for a basic breakfast where there was 1 slice of toast with no butter - had to ask twice for butter and it was frozen, but a 20% tip was built into the bill. We had a mobility scooter, but the automatic handicap door owner didn't work. The room was $269 per night but fees and taxes brought it to almost $400. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a lovely hotel with wonderful staff, especially the waitstaff, bartenders & house keeping. Disappointed we couldn’t use the rooftop bar not one night we were there, there was an event every night…all tables reserved or we couldn’t even get access to that floor on the last night. We paid for that amenity & didn’t get to enjoy it!

Pretty on the outside, obnoxious on the inside

The property is beautiful and tge room was very. I expected I would be enjoying some relaxation and luxury during my stay however, my husban and I go no sleep due to guest yelling and screaming in the hallway at all hours. We brought it up to the front desk and it was blamed on a wedding party. No action was taken. In addition, the elvators are a nightmare. Tgere are 4 total but only on transpirts guests at a time. The were over crowded an we waited 10 minutes for the elvator to arrive so we could leave the 8th floor. If you want to party all night and are not worried about sleep or urgency great place. If you are hoping for a relaxing trip to DC that is comfortable and accommodating go elsewhere. This would not be my pick for a future stay.

Great hotel, centrally located. Within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping etc. the lobby smelled beautifully and the concierge seemed very friendly and welcoming. Well, until the next morning when I realized that they only provided coffee in the room. Not even a decaf option. Just coffee. Fortunately, I always carry my favorite tea with me. I then realize that there was no way to boil some water in the room, so I decided to go to the front desk and asked if there was a way to get hot water to make myself a cup of tea, as I don’t drink coffee. One of the concierge said “there’s hot water inside de shop” So I went to the shop, yes, there was a station with coffee and hot water, however, there were no cups! I went back and said to the same concierge that there were no cups. A second person jumped in and said “ we will send you a pot of hot water to your room” I said that would be great and left. After 2 hrs of waiting and no one brought the hot water, I called the front desk again and said that I never received the water. The person on the phone said, ok, we’ll send it now. Another hour passed and nothing. At this point it was already 9:30AM. We decided to go for a walk and a bite. When we returned around 11 to check out, we noticed the pot on the table. Of course at that point it was too late. However, the odd thing is that we left the “do not disturb button on” for a reason. I guess at Arlo, the Do not disturb means nothing.
