300 meters from the sunniest coast of the Netherlands

Our house is located about 300 meters from the bathing beach of Vlissingen. At the head of the Nolle head is beach pavilion Panta Rhei, where you have a beautiful view of the enormous sea-going vessels that sail right along the coast. From here you can find beautiful, quiet beaches towards Dishoek.
Zeeland is a province with many nature reserves where you can walk and cycle beautifully. On the peninsula Walcheren you will find beautiful places such as Middelburg, Veere, Domburg and Zoutelande.
The dunes are beautiful hiking trails and a network of cycle paths. There is always a beach close to a nature reserve or nice town.

A popular hiking trail is the path across the dunes between Koudekerke and Zoutelande. From the high dunes you have a beautiful view over the Westerschelde with on the other side the countryside of Zeeland.

We bought the house a few years ago, and the after that has been considerably rebuilt while retaining its original character. A spacious light extension has been placed on the garden side.

Originally the houses in this street were fishermen's houses. In the beginning of last century, a neighborhood was built around it with stately villas and beautiful parks.
If you want to stay at home; in the wonderfully peaceful deep garden there is always sun. The terrace is a lovely place to sit in the evening. The center of Vlissingen and the cinema CineCity are within walking distance.
The stairs to the top is quite steep, so unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

Gemütliches Haus in guter Lage von Vlissingen

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Begrüßung und Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war äußerst freundlich. Das Haus befindet sich in einer guten, ruhigen Wohnlage von Vlissingen und verfügt trotz des Alters aufgrund geschickter Anbauten über alle notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten. Mit den Matratzen (siehe andere Kommentare) hatten wir drei keine Probleme.

Gemütliches Häuschen mit tollem Wohnraum und schönem Blick in den Garten

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Vlissingen und die Nähe zum Strand sehr genossen. Das Wohnzimmer war sehr gemütlich und der Blick in den Garten toll. Abzüge gibt es für die Betten, die nicht sehr bequem waren und die steile Treppe zum ersten Stock, die nicht erwähnt wurde. Für uns und die Kinder war es okay, für ältere Leute und kleine Kinder wäre mit die zu steil. Schade fand ich auch, dass es in der Küche keinen großen Topf gab um für 5 Leute Spaghetti zu kochen und in den Schlafzimmern haben mir ein paar Kommoden gefehlt.

Das kleine Reihenhäuschen lag in einem sehr ruhigen Wohngebiet. Es war im Haus alles vorhanden. Der Garten war schön, das Wetter allerdings weniger, und wir konnten ihn gar nicht nutzen. Mit dem Fahrrad war man schnell in der Stadt und am Sandstrand. Der Wohnraum war sehr geräumig. Eine Gästetoilette war auch vorhanden. Die Schlafzimmer und das Bad (Badewanne) erreichte man über eine steile Treppe. Die Fahrräder konnten im Gartenhäuschen abgestellt werden und wurden durch den Wohnraum nach hinten geschoben. Es hat uns insgesamt gut gefallen.

Ferienwohnung in Vlissingen

Die Wohnung ist rustikal eingerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht. Es hat alles funktioniert, nur der Grillrost war nicht in dem Zustand benutzt zu werden. Die Betten waren für 5 Nächte Ok. (Es handelt sich hier eher um „Pritschen“) Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr schön und Strandnah. Die Treppe in den ersten Stock ist ziemlich steil, man sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Der Empfang war zwar nicht persönlich, aber mit netten Zetteln und Begrüßungsworten sehr angenehm. Würden die Wohnung weiterempfehlen!

Another wonderful stay...

We once more enjoyed our time in the beautiful and well appointed house very much. Cozied up during a rainshower or soaking up the sun on the patio - a stay at Jan-Willems and Christines property is very recommended!

Nettes Häuschen mit guter Lage

Wir waren als Familie über Sylvester in diesem netten Fischerhäuschen. Wir sind sehr nett von Christin empfangen worden auch sehr aufmerksam mit ner Flasche Sekt und Bier 🍺 im Kühlschrank sowie auch was für die Kinder 😊 Die Lage ist top, ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß an den Strand. Ich bin morgens zu Fuß in die Stadt gelaufen um Frühstück zu holen, ca. 15 Minuten. Vlissingen ist ein schönes Städtchen und man bekommt hier alles was man braucht. Und, man ist mit dem Auto auch schnell in Middelburg was sich wirklich lohnt. Im Haus findet man alles was man braucht, ist gut ausgestattet. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Entspannung und Ruhe

Das Haus liegt ideal zum Strand und trotz der Nähe zur Stadt total ruhig und idyllisch. Die Treppe ist eine Herausforderung, wurde ja aber im Inserat drauf hingewiesen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und könnten uns einen weiteren Aufenthalt dort nochmal vorstellen.

Ferienhaus mit viel Charme

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Vlissingen. Das Häuschen hat einen unglaublichen, individuellen Retro-Charme, und strahlt damit eine Gemütlichkeit aus, die nicht viele Ferienwohnungen bieten. Highlight ist die tolle Terrasse mit Blick in den Garten (und die Hängematte!). Der Gastgeber hat uns persönlich begrüßt und war bei Fragen immer kurzfristig erreichbar. An einem Abend tropfte es aus der Decke, nachdem wir geduscht hatten (vermutlich ist irgendwo ein Rohr defekt...), er wollte sich den Schaden angucken. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, es gibt einen Grill, Waschmaschien, Fön. Parken vor dem Haus ist kein Problem und kostenlos. Der Strand nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Leider enttäuschend

Das hübsche Haus sollte dringend renoviert werden, das obere Schlafzimmer weist einen gravierenden Wasserschaden auf, es riecht leider modrig und feucht. Schlafen war dort nicht möglich. Auch der Wasserschaden im Wohnzimmer fällt unangenehm auf, die Plane die das Oberlicht abdecken soll, hat sich gelöst und schließt die Feuchtigkeit ein. Insgesamt kein schöner Anblick. Warum wird man nicht vorher informiert über die vorherrschenden Schäden? Wir fanden dies unfair uns gegenüber. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, aber das kann man im Moment nicht genießen….leider.

Fijn, mooi huisje op superlocatie

Perfecte plek om je vakantie in Zeeland te houden. Het huisje ligt in een mooie rustige wijk op een steenworp van de boulevard en het strand. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Smaakvolle inrichting en heerlijke tuin.

Pleasant stay, but…

We had a wonderful week in Zeeland and we always like to come back. Our landlords went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely welcome. Flowers and chilled white wine in the fridge made us very happy. What we were less pleased about was the previously uncommunicated moisture damage in the bedroom next to the bed and the water dripping through the ceiling on the only rainy day. We would have liked to have been informed openly before the start of the trip. We still see considerable homework in terms of renovation for the landlord. Due to these limitations and because we feel obliged to tell the truth to future tenants, we unfortunately cannot give more than two stars.
