Balcony Room on the Lake

Got a balcony room and loved it. Was able to walk to the beach,boardwalk, and fishing pier. Ducks to feed and a big dock to fish the lake off of. Deff worth the price overall. Service was great anytime we needed anything they accomidated . Very pleasantly surprised.

Not worth it!

Booked a room with a sofa bed. Sofa was filthy. Could feel the coiled springs through the fabric of the sofa mattress. Unable to use it. Ended up covering the entire sofa with a sheet in order to sleep on it. Water pooled at my feet in the shower. Just gross. No coffee maker either. Would never go back.

Not worth it.

One room had a fairly strong smoky smell, the other smelled like Febreze or something. Floors were very dirty...feet got nasty very quickly if you walked around barefoot. Pull-out sofa bed mattress was very thin, with wire close to the surface, almost like a box spring. Parking was very tight. Several people in my party felt like they were catching something in there...possibly mold?

The people who run the hotel are really nice and so are the older man and lady that clean but the hotel is anything but clean and safe. We got there and staff were very helpful until I walked into one of our booked rooms and the guy cleaning had his tweaker girlfriend curled up in one of the chairs the owners tried to switch us to another room but it smelled of weed so we waited for two more rooms. They stunk if cigarettes and bleach. Sheets were stained and everything was dirty and broken. We tried to book another hotel but with air show we had no luck finding something that wasn’t outrageous So we slept in our clothes on top of beach towels. The bed is on a metal thing that makes crazy noises when you move. It was non stop yelling and loud music until around 4am. Parking was a nightmare people just blocked us in. I really do not understand how this hotel can get a 10/10 unless they are paying the people that clearly are living there and have major problems some money because it is awful. Don’t be fooled by the reviews.

The room was decently clean (no carpet, which is good), and the staff helpful and responsive, and it is only a short walk to the beach. For the price, not a bad deal. The outside of the property was less maintained, and the parking lot so small I was almost stuck! Plus, we had the bad luck of getting quite noisy neighbors, but the concierge dealt with it promptly. It might be worth spending a bit more for a hotel in better shape, but worth it if you have a tight budget and still want to enjoy the beach.

To awful to spend the night

We didn't even stay the night! The pictures were nice enough for a quick one night stay, but I was so wrong. When we arrived, the entire property felt deeply unsafe, I will say the guy at the check in was nice but that's where it ended. I felt like I was going to be mugged at any time and all of my information (ie room number) was on the vehicle hang tag so they knew where I was. The bathroom was disgusting, roaches were doing great living their best lives, and there was a one inch gap under the front door. When we went out to get dinner, the amount of open drug use was rather impressive, as was the discussion of on going manhunts for a few residents. During dinner, if decided I had enough and would bite the bullet and get another hotel. We went back, packed up, and I checked out. Front desk was shocked when I told him if the drug use (yeah right). I never would have been able to sleep at this place. Save your money (maybe your life?) and go somewhere else. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I will be staying at the AMAZING HOTEL in VA Beach from now own. loved Room 126- Loved the ducks at my patio door. Staff was so kind and nice. Loved watching the guest fish. Board Walk across the street from property. Carnival right there as well. Love this place!

The photos are an absolute catfish. The rooms smell like someone smoked a whole cart of cigarettes before you walked in. The outside of the building looks like it should be condemned and the staff are extremely slow at handling anything

The staff was EXCELLENT, very attentive. The room wasn’t the cleanest, bathroom could have used some TLC, and they could have use a good air freshener for the room as a whole. The view in back was great! Hubby said we would give them another chance. Did not used the pool, it seemed clean.

Nice stay

The stay was nice and the front desk was generous when I asked for extra toiletries. I really like the spot by the water but the room had not been swept (properly maybe) and the fridge could’ve used a wipe down. Good location though
