In the heart of the Cinque Terre Ligurian typical rustic stone restored for tourist accommodation. We are located in the village of San Bernardino, 200 mt. share halfway between Vernazza and Corniglia. All the trails are easily accessible. The blue path n. 2 is 300 mt. To access the house is by 3 stairs through the olive grove. We have our private parking for 2 cars accessible by the road to Corniglia. The house Consists of two levels is located in a land with olive trees over 5 balsa stone accessible through a stone stairway. Downstairs is a large living room with fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave, sink, stove. There pots and pans. In the living room sofa converts to a comfortable double bed and TV 32 '. Satellite wifi it's available. On the ground floor a spacious bathroom with shower and washing machine. The first floor rooms are accessible via a spiral staircase in wood. Two bedrooms. The room blue bedroom with access to the terrace and sea view. The green room with a double bed and one sofa. Study have a single bed. A small bathroom with shower. The house can accommodate 5 people. Hot water with electric boiler 80 lt. and radiator heating with gas boiler. Outside chairs, table and umbrella are available. BBQ and wood oven. For Those arriving by train you can get a taxi transfer from La Spezia with luggage and the Possibility of shopping in a supermarket in La Spezia for the duration of the stay.

Everything We Needed

Maurizio, thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was just as advertised. What a lovely location. Peaceful and quiet, with only the occasional barking of dogs and braying of donkeys to keep us company. Communication with Maurizio was seemless throughout the booking process through to our departure. The home was clean, well appointed and well equipped with all the conveniences of home. It was also nice to have TV with a choice of English news channels. The house is situated a short walk to San Bernardino and Corniglia and with easy access to the Cinque Terre trail both North and South. Parking is just off the road and access to the house is up a small hill, surrounded by olive trees and easily doable. We enjoyed the use of both outside terraces when the weather permitted. The downside is all the mosquitoes. Make sure you bring bug spray. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful property.

Mauricio was a great host and his house was wonderful. The only knock on the rental were having to do a lot of turning on gas and reading numbers but a small price to pay for the peaceful and scenic location. I highly recommend this if you want to escape the tourists on the cinque terre.

Incredible views, comfortable home base for hiking and exploring

The villa is, as promised, located just a few hundred yards from the trails in the park, (although it’s a good idea to purchase a detailed trail map or topo). As it’s a good 900 feet above sea level the view over the sea - especially at sunset - from the terraces is magnificent! We were able to hike from the villa to each of the five towns and then take the train back to Corniglia and walk up the hill home (maybe 25 minutes from the train station - you can fortify yourself for the walk up the hill with a gelato in town). We spent most late afternoons outside in the sun enjoying the view. The mosquitoes were bad at dusk and chased us inside at dinner time. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, with firm mattresses and good storage for clothes, and the blue bedroom is sunny and bright during the day if you wanted to stay inside and read. The stairs are steep and narrow - you’d have to rig barriers with small children. Living area inside was fine for the three of us but if you had a larger group you’d want to spend your time outside or it would feel cramped - there’s a sofa for three and a small dining table with wooden chairs in the living room area - but who would want to stay inside with that view? The kitchen is very well equipped and we made dinner at home several nights. We didn’t use the charcoal grill but all the materials needed were there (charcoal etc) and there is also a wood pizza oven that we were too intimidated to try! It’s also easy to park in Corniglia at night after most of the day tourists have gone and we ate dinner in town several times. It’s is a pretty steep walk from the car to the villa but we loved the path through the olive trees and it’s very well lit at night if you go out to dinner. I’d say the only thing we’d have really wanted to change was the neighbors dogs - directly across the street from the parking are two white dogs that barked constantly. Maurizio was a wonderful host, checking in to make sure everything was going well and his assistants met us to help us settle in. We’d highly recommend the villa if you’re looking for a beautiful, central place to base yourself while exploring or hiking in Cinque Terre.

Perfekte Unterkunft um die Cinque Terre zu entdecken

Unsere dreiköpfige Familie hat die 2 Wochen in der Unterkunft von Maurizio sehr genossen. Die Lage und die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses ist auch für Familien mit mehreren Kindern optimal. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Cinque Terre sind von hier aus zu Fuß (entsprechende Grundkondition vorausgesetzt), mit der Bahn oder auch mit dem Auto (war im Oktober kein Problem) gut erreichbar. Für uns war es ein perfekter Urlaub. Vielen Dank an unseren sehr herzlichen und stets hilfsbereiten Gastgeber Maurizio - wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt und die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf die Riviera war ein Traum!

Entspannung pur in der Cinque Terre

Von Anfang an eine tolle Vorbereitung. Der Vermieter hat sich via WhatApp hervorragend und präzise für die Anreise, Checkin und Nutzung der Unterkunft gekümmert. Das Ferienhaus war trotz der besonderer Lage (abgeschieden in der Höhenlage der Cinque Terre) super ausgestattet. Ab dem ersten Moment hatten wir das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Selbst für die unangenehmen Mücken am Abend und in der Nacht, sind Räucherschnecken, Sprays und Abwehrmittel vorhanden. Ein Traum für jeden Italien-Fan, der die Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe sucht. Der traumhafte Ausblick wird uns immer in Erinnerung bleiben.

Fantastic stonehouse

Fantastic stay in a beautiful house. We loved the house and the location. The view over the ocean was amazing. We can also recommend the bar closeby. The only thing was that it took about 45 minutes walk along the path to get to the water to swim. But the walk to get there had a great view! So overall - great stay. We can recommend it!

Schöner Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen

Sowohl zum Küstenweg nach Vernazza und Corniglia als auch in die Berge guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern. Der Shuttle von Vernazza fährt ein paarmal am Tag nach San Bernardino (20 min. von der FeWo) und zur Santuario Madonna di Reggio (2h schöner Höhenweg zurück zur FeWo). Parken kann man am besten in Corniglia, Manarola und Monterosso, um von dort loszulaufen bzw. mit dem Schiff in die anderen Orte zu kommen. Die FeWo liegt sehr schön einsam (abgesehen vom lästigen Bellen der Nachbarhunde und dem lauten Schreien der Esel…). Ausstattung sowohl innen wie außen top.

Scenic location at the heart of Cinque Terre

We spent a wonderful week in Maurizio's holiday house which is located in a very quiet environment within the steep hills between Corniglia and Vernazza. In particular, we have enjoyed the beautiful hikes between the picturesque villages in the region and the exceptional view from the house onto the sea. Thank you for the great time!

Entspannter Urlaub über Weihnachten

Wir hatten einen entspannten und unkomplizierten Urlaub in der Ferienwohnung. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter lief über WhatsApp. Das Haus befindet sich etwas über der Verbindungsstrasse nach Corniglia. Es gibt einen privaten Parkplatz. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön, mit direktem Blick auf das Meer. Die Ferienwohnung ist gut ausgestattet und auch in den kalten Jahreszeiten gut zu bewohnen. Wir haben viele Wanderungen und Ausflüge in der Woche unternommen.

Toller Urlaub

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen, mit einem herrlichen Blick aufs Meer. Mehrere Wanderwege sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Sentiero Azzurro ist etwa 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Der Ort Corniglia ist gut zu erreichen. Dort befindet sich auch eine Badestelle, die aber eher nicht für kleine Kinder geeignet ist. Wir haben die Woche dort sehr genossen, und der Hausbesitzer war sehr hilfsbereit und gut zu erreichen.

Vue à 180 degrés sur la mer

Maison bien agencée pour 5 personnes. Vue superbe au cœur des cinque terre. Parfait pr découvrir les villages (avec bcp de virages pour y arriver...) et se reposer. Pour la randonnée, c'est une belle région mais tôt le matin en été.... La climatisation dans les chambres est bienvenue.

Heiß - heißer! Gute Orga für Wasserkauf erforderlich, um nicht andauernd mit dem Auto einkaufen fahr

alles was man braucht, war da. Leider auch Schnaken und Wespen. Wegen der Hitze war alles sehr aufgeheizt. Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmern war hervorragend. Ansonsten stets alle Schotten dicht machen, dann kann man es aushalten. Wenn man die 66 Stufen vom Parkplatz bis zum Haus geschafft hat, sofort duschen. Sonst kommen die Stechmücken!

Rural tranquility

Beautifully secluded stone house; lush garden with flowers, butterflies, fire-flies (!). Exceptionally well equipped house. As Maurizio describes, there a steps to climb to reach the house, but the view is more than worth it. Near to nature including hearing the various animals - we loved it! We hope to return some day. Ein phantastischer Ort mitten im Olivenhain

Das Ferienhaus liegt mit wunderbaren 180° Meerblick am Berghang im Olivenhain. Varnezza und Corniglia sind fußläufig (steil, 30-50 min) erreichbar .... mit dem Auto geht es schneller. Die Wohnungseinrichtung ist geschmackvoll und einfach, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Man sollte nur beachten, dass die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 5 terre sehr beschränkt/teuer sind. Deswegen am besten gleich bei der Einreise mit Lebensmitteln zum Kochen eindecken. Nachts ist es ruhig, nur ab uns zu kurvt ein Auto die Sepentimen runter und ein Esel macht sich bemerkbar. Mückenspray hilft immer. Das WiFi ist OK, könnte etwas schneller sein, aber man kann ja auch mal ein schönes Buch lesen :-) ... oder einfach den perfekten Sonnenuntergang genießen. Wir hatten in diesem Freienhaus eine wunderbare Woche!

tolles Anwesen mit allem was man benötigt

Das Haus hat eine super Lage als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und einen tollen Blick auf das Meer.Es wurden oft die bellenden Hunde vom Nachbarn erwähnt,uns störten sie nicht.In so einer Gegend werden die grossen Grundstücke nun mal von Hunden bewacht und es schreit auch mal ein Esel.Wir würden das Haus immer wieder buchen.

Prachtige woning

Zeer mooi gelegen woning op de flanken van de heuvels van Cinque Terra met mooi uitzicht op de Middellandse Zee. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en alles heeft een hoog standaard. Alles is netjes en goed geregeld. Communicatie met de eigenaar is uitstekend. Het is een stevige klim van de parkeerplaats naar het huis.De foto's van huis geven een goede weergave van de prachtige plek en de goede uitrusting.

Urlaub in Juli 2020, 4 Personen

Sehr gepflegtes und gemütliches Häuschen mit zauberhaftem Blick aufs Meer. Wir haben unser Urlaub richtig genossen. Auch die Nachbarshunden waren sehr artig und haben uns kaum gestört. Zum Baden sind wir nach Levanto gefahren, dort hat uns der Strand und auch das kleine Städtchen am meisten gefallen. Wir können das Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Allerdings nur für Leute die mobil sind und Treppen steigen können.
