Comfortable, authentic experience. Wonderful staff

Lovely, lush gardens, perfect size and temperature pool, rooms modest but charming with comfy bed, plenty of hot water and nice shaded patio for sitting. Kadek and the other staff were lovely to deal with - really sweet and cared about your comfort. Ideal location with plenty of restaurants and shopping just outside the door - great walkability to everything including rice terrace trail. Breakfast was very good.

Location and staff were great. You could get to the “high street” in 5 mins. Breakfast was limited but good. Now, my beef with the hotel is there is a hotel across the road that will have live music every single night until 11pm. If you are staying in one of the rooms at the front, you won’t be able to sleep until they finish. Room was clean, however, the bathroom needs a deep cleaning

Staff was amazing!

The staff was amazing! Ejar was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Very peaceful area but close quick walk to markets and temples. Definitely would stay here again.

Charming, quiet room with amazing breakfast

Uma Sari Cottage was amazing! We felt so comfortable there and ended up extending our stay twice. The free breakfast had large portions and was delicious. The pool and garden area was quiet and relaxing. Many restaurants and markets nearby and the Main Street is Ubud is within walking distance. The only downside would be that our roof leaked during major rainstorms and we had to put a bucket under our sink as it also leaked while draining. Book transportation and tours elsewhere as it is substantially cheaper just down the road. Otherwise, we highly recommend this place!

Great location, great hotel

The small hotel is located outside the busy centre in a street with very nice calm cafés and restaurants. There is a great spa and a small supermarket too. To get to the market it takes you 15 minutes. A temple with evening shows is 10 minutes away. The hotel is very nice a clean with a very friendly stuff. I will come again

Bad cleanliness overshadows Balinese hospitality

Towels were smelly, toilet flush was not working and the fruit juice had a fingernail in it, which is an absolute no-go. These weak points overshadowed the great Balinese hospitality

It cannot get better

I read all previous comments by others but we have now been at Uma Sari for 3 weeks. Just love this place. Can not find a negative to say about our stay. I can not think of a better place for the money. The neighbor hood is great I sleep like a rock in AC it is quiet here at night. No bad smells of any kind. The doors lock. It can not get better. I travel 200 days a year each year. This place is a good place.

Very kind and friendly staff! They prepared breakfast for me everyday with a smile on their faces. They always went the extra mile to ask how I was doing and if I needed anything. Overall this is a beautiful cottage right in the heart of ubud.

At least it didn't colaspe during the earthquake.

Flithy, noisey, poorly designed door that pushes open with with ease despite the lock being engaged. The pool is nice, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is pretty good too. It needs a deep cleaning, the door issue addressed and something done humanely about the local wild dogs that bark all night long. The only time they shut up was when a 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck the island around 3am. Had a good hour of peace and quiet then.

Stay would have been decent if it wasn’t for the staff taking some of our clothes. We had 100% left them hanging on the back of the bathroom door but only realized this once we had left for Lovina (North Bali). I had contacted them about it right away and they said they would get back to me asap but I never got a response after that. After our stay in Lovina, we came back and asked them where our clothes were and literally all of the staff could not give a straight answer. There was at least 6 of them at reception and no one wanted to take the initiative and actually check the room or look anywhere other than the one computer screen behind the desk for that matter. They said they checked the entire room and found nothing but we were certain they were left in the bathroom. So either they didn’t actually check the entire room and were too embarrassed to admit it (and maybe the guests after us took the clothes) OR whoever checked the room after we had checked out found the clothes and just denied ever finding them. The fact that we lost our clothes isn’t even the issue, the real issue is how terribly the staff dealt with the situation. The experience was confusing and even more so frustrating and I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone. Find somewhere else.
