Our stay at the Maya was absolutely amazing. We came for our honeymoon and they upgraded us to a private villa without asking. The service was impeccable from start to finish—everyone was so warm and helpful. The grounds themselves were gorgeous and well-kept, with amazing views of the rainforest and rivers. Our villa was clean, air-conditioned, and luxurious (came with a personal butler, Aria, who was very attentive). We would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Ubud.

Property looks better in marketing. I got food poisoning at the hotel restaurant the first night. I was sick for 2 days and never saw Ubud. I had to call hotel doctor at my expense. Room smelled of mold and a humidifier was added. It stopped working in the middle of the night, every night. We checked out 1 night earlier and asked for reimbursement to which they offered a free meal which we did not take. Terrible experience. Would not recommend. Staff was friendly.
