My stay at Baymont Hotel had both positives and negatives. Upon arrival at 4 PM, the check-in experience was uncomfortable. The front desk associate confronted me right away, questioning why only two people were present when I had booked for four. After explaining that my kids were on their way from school, she immediately assumed there would be more than four guests, even after I clarified. Her dismissive attitude, including rolling her eyes-made the process unpleasant. I’d strongly recommend further training for front desk staff to ensure a more welcoming experience. That said, the rooms were accommodating and clean, and the new beds made for a comfortable stay. However, my room was located next to the pool, which made it difficult to rest. If you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend booking near the pool, as the noise carries from 8 AM to 10:30 PM. Additionally, accessibility could be improved, as the front entrance features a long staircase that may not be ideal for guests needing easier access. Breakfast was another area that needed attention. The two associates struggled to keep up with restocking essential items like forks, spoons, plates, napkins, and food. The waffle batter wasn’t refilled after the first round, leaving many guests waiting.

I asked for a room on the non interstate side of bldg. Had I known that there would be outrageously loud H.S/College boys in the room next to me, I would have asked for a different floor. It would have been nice for the young man at the desk to let me know as we are an older couple and they were unbelievably loud. Clerk did call their coach to stop their late night nonsense.

Overall a great hotel in Proctor

There were a few things like no shampoo or soap in the room and hair on the bathroom floor. Overall great stay and very reasonable priced. There are steps into the lobby area that were difficult for my elderly mom but they had just poured a new concrete ramp that will make the property handicap accessible.

I honestly felt bad for the staff. Our first night they were obviously short staffed and were working late into the night to try and get rooms cleaned and ready. However I did not appreciate listening to them at 9-10 PM swearing and being loud while cleaning when my family was trying to sleep. Our second night the receptionist was the only person working the front desk and breakfast bar and she was working her butt off! I really wish she had help. The hotel itself is interesting for lack of a better word. The steps are slanted there were holes by the base boards, and the pool was freezing.

This was a clean facility with extremely helpful staff. No sign of bed bugs. The pool looked very nice, though we didn't get a chance to use it. The continental breakfast was good, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt. And the breakfast area was clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

The front desk people did such a nice job. The hotel needs to be demolished and start over. It literally smelled like someone died in our room. We had to open the windows and keep the ac fan running to try and air it out. We went with three hockey teams and several of the rooms had this fowl smell. It was just gross and not sure how it even could smell that bad. It smelled so bad it was literally on all of our clothes etc. Getting past the smell then there was just everything either didn't work or was just gross dirty. If all the other hotels weren't booked for the hockey tournament none of us would have stayed there. I can't tell you enough or even articulate how gross this place is and to absolutely stay away from it. I can't believe they even rent rooms in the condition the hotel is in. Just gross

Property needs some serious updating. There are some foundation issues, large gaps at the bottom of the exterior and interior doors. Breakfast: microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, waffles and cereal. Could hear everything from the pool area and hallway/breakfast area and neighboring rooms (like, everything). The room was clean. The staff were nice.

The stairs into the property are not level and completely unsafe. The handicapped ramp had no rails. Also; the pool sounded like it was in our room. Finally the ceiling clearly had water damage.
