Positives…. Lovely breakfast and comfy bed Negatives… Accommodation was dirty, run down and completely neglected. Found a pair of dirty socks sticking out from under the bed…. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Completely overpriced and I cannot understand how it has a rating of 9.6 on this website. That’s the only reason I booked it. People should be more honest in their reviews

There was no room in the bathroom for personal articles and no hooks for towels. There was no elevator to 2nd floor. There was no top sheet in bed and cover only came up part way. I would never stay there again.

Friendly, quality hotel

A great family run hotel. The staff were very attentive and friendly with breakfast quality and portions being very generous. The room was well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. Only small negative was our room was above the kitchen extractor and so can be slightly noisy during the day (if your sensitive to noise) but this didn't from our overall enjoyment of our stay at Gleesons.

We had an amazing overnight stay with our dog. It's close to the castle and park, which is a great place for a walk, as well as being right in the centre of town. Our dog was really well looked after with lots of fuss and water bowls. You can eat in the bar area with your dog and there's also a lovely patio outside when the weather's good. We had a nice dinner there and also a huge breakfast the next morning. Roscommon itself was a nice town and really well connected for exploring other parts of Ireland, we wished we'd booked more than one night. Would visit again.

Roscommon was a nice town, very easy to walk. The locals were very friendly and helpful.. Highly recommend Gleesons . It has everything you need in one place..... and Ryans pub was fantastic as well!
