Convenient. Walking easily to restaurants cafes shops etc. Owner very responsive. Minimal cleanup required. Plenty of towels. A/C worked well. Stairs are steep so mobility issues need to be aware limited to one downstairs one bedroom. Plenty of quiet work space upstairs for those needing to zoom in to work.

Our group of three 70-something friends had a delightful five-day stay at the Rose District house. We've been friends since junior high and traveling together for decades so we value a trip headquarters that is clean, comfortable, and in a good location. This house checked all of those requirements, but also was beautifully updated and modernized, and filled with thoughtful extras (robes in the master bedroom, plenty of coffee pods, etc.). The beds are especially comfortable, and the master bathroom is spectacular. The stairs are steep, so anyone with mobility problems should be assigned the main floor bedroom. This also means the comfy furniture in the second floor lounge isn't easily accessible for everyone (the antique living room furniture looks lovely but isn't as comfortable), so we mostly did our talking around the dining room table or on the porch. But the location is ideal, just two short blocks from the Rose District shops and terrific restaurants. We meandered in and out of shops, ate most of our meals there, and visited the Rose Rock Microcreamery more than once! I highly recommend this home and its wonderful hostess, Gracie.

This house is beautiful and in a beautiful neighbourhood, central to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and bespoke shopping. The flow of the house is perfect and suits our needs exactly. This charming home has beautiful original architectural details and is decorated elegantly throughout. The primary bed and bathroom are luxurious, with a comfortable bed, nice linens, and bath robes. I was pleasantly surprised at how close the house was to cute downtown shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. We walked around and explored and even stumbled on a cute bakery within a block or two of the house. This house is the perfect mix of comfort and character. And it was very clean. Would love to go back sometime.

Gem in the Rose District!

The house was clean and decorated so cutely. The primary bathroom felt luxurious. It’s worth noting that only the primary bedroom is on the first floor in case you have mobility issues. The downstairs living room furniture isn’t super comfortable, but the sectional upstairs is great for lounging and tv watching. The location is on walking distance to cute shops and restaurants. Would recommend.

A calming spot for a difficult weekend

We came in to town for a celebration of life. I rented the house so that my husband and I could spend time and be close to our adult children. It was really lovely and the location was perfect. Only suggestions I would have is more dish ware and laundry detergent. We will not hesitate to book this house again when we visit.

Perfect location!
