host was hard to get hold of! we left one day early the decks were covered in snow could not use. fireplace had no directions on how to turn on. when we got their driveway had about a foot of snow in it and the snowplow had left a Burm at end of driveway. the host knew we were going to be there around 4 pm. when opened garage door had shovel a lot of snow that fell into garage to get door to close! tried to call host to tell him we did not bring dog in house because he past a way on trip there.

This is a lovely and cosy property for staying in the donner/tahoe area. The property is pet friendly. I forgot to declare the pet before arriving as plans changed such that I needed to bring my dog with us. The owner simply charged me the appropriate fee and there was no further issue. All in all the owner is easy to work with and quick to respond to comunique

Just lovely

Spent an awesome 5 nights at this gem of a house in Tahoe Donner. House is comfortable and well-outfitted and was cozy for our party of 7 and a pup. Location is close to Truckee and not too far for skiing at Palisades/Alpine, which we did daily. Would definitely stay here again!

Family ski trip

Ski trip with extended family members for a total of 5 of us and 2 small dogs. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. Central heating works well which is a must (wasn’t the right season to test AC) and no issues with hot water. It could take a couple minutes for the cold water to evacuate the pipes before hot came out of the faucet, particularly on first use, but it always came and it wasn’t merely lukewarm, fortunately they have no plumbing issues because the water would be truly hot, something very necessary in the cold of winter. Very cozy ambiance, feels modern. Everything our family was looking for. Not far from several ski resorts. Feels a bit out of the way driving there, which was initially a negative, but it was nice and peaceful at night which helped us rest and reset for following days. Will certainly be looking to stay here again, particularly for medium/large groups.

The description of the rental was on par. The lessor was very communicative.and took the initiative. The amenities were very clean.Bonus ... there are extra toiletries should someone in your party forget anything.
