This hotel says it is 4 star hotel. I would definitely not agree. The location is beautiful nature area near the water but the property is in serious need of attention. The immense amount of cobwebs in the pergola covered walking areas and dead vegetation in the gardens was frankly depressing and creepy. The carpet was in need of replacement 20 years ago easily. No A/C in Denmark is normal but what I don't understand is, if you KNOW everyone will have to open the windows, why wouldn't they have screens so you don't have flies/mosquitos etc. in your room and bathroom? And, since a hotel room doesn't allow for cross breeze, a simple fan would be nice. Bed was not the worst I slept on in Denmark (that award goes to the high priced hotel in Copenhagen) but still way too firm (aka like sleeping on the floor). For the price, I expected much more.

Beautiful setting, simple facilities

The Comwell Klarskovgaard as a hotel is in a very beautiful setting, just a short walk to the beach amid woods and open fields. But it is lacking in any storage space for clothing except for a few hangers for shirts: no hangers for pants, no drawers or shelves. This may be a modern trend in hotels, but it does not serve its guests well. Another guest arrived at a time when no one was available to greet her at reception. The hotel had sent her an email indicating the limited times available for checking in, but the email was only sent on the day of arrival. There was absolutely no staff available on the premises to provide assistance. This is unacceptable. Every hotel should have some staff available on site at all times in case of emergency.

Has its limitations.

Nice clean hotel with fabulous staff. Rooms small but adequate. The only down side is the restaurant which is limited to only one choice of starter, main and desert. Therefore if you are vegetarian you may go hungry. There is nothing around the hotel which makes dining more challenging. The hotel is geared towards conferencing hence the menu limitations. I would stay here again for one or two nights.

Tilfreds - dårlig oplevelse til aftensmad

Restauranten havde travlt og var (håber jeg) underbemandet - ventede 5 min på at få nord, mens en ung mand nærmest løb rundt og prøvede at servicere hele restauranten. Ventede yderligere 10 min på at bestille og så kom brød og forret ikke sammen, så jeg var halvvejs gennem forretten, da brødet kom. Der var en stor hårklump på badeværelset, da jeg ankom og så var der kun en hovedpude - kunne godt have brugt en mere. Og der var kun et lille håndklæde og et stort - kunne godt have brugt et lille mere til at tørre gulvet, da der jo bliver vådt på hele badeværelset.

Lidt skuffende til prisen. Noget outdated

Noget outdated 60’er sted. Kunne godt trænge til en Update. Bar område var opdateret og hyggeligt. Til prisen havde vi nok forventet noget andet. Prisen ville mere retmæssigt havde været 2/3 del af det vi gav. Men stedet ligger i rolige omgivelser, naturskønt og tæt på vandet. Udemærket mad.
