1. The staff was extremely courteous, well-trained, and efficient. Aman Kumar, my designated service contact, was excellent, perceptive, anticipating my questions and needs, and quite responsive. 2. Spa experience was exceptional with Dukha the therapist. She is one of the best. Anand was quite good in helping through the experience. 3. Shrima was proactive and EFFECTIVE, in helping my relocation to a different room when the hot water stopped. I had not expected to take a cold shower at the Leela. 4. Ms. Sinha met me twice to make sure my stay remained pleasant and asked for candid fedd back. 5. Overall, WELL DONE! I will be back when i return to Chennai.

Best stay at the Leela. What a spot. Palace is right! Beautiful hotel. Service top notch, especially by the pool by a man named Chandra. He deserves to be commended for the stellar and personalized service he provides. Rooms are spotless. Breakfast buffet as well is great - order a cheese masala dosa at the station and you won’t be disappointed.

In many small ways the Leela is twice as nice as similar "five star" hotels in the area: * Organic teas in the room. * Granite bathtub. * Amazing volume of hot shower water. * Organic tea selection. * Eight bottles of water instead of 2. * Spacious rooms with Amazing views. * Quiet inside and out. * Complimentary apples and cookies in room. * Easy check in and check out. * No lines in lobby. * Fantastic welcome drink. * Evening musical performance on the water. * Good art in the rooms. They can improve their phone concierge comprehension. Speed is very slow: 15-60 minutes for almost any request, including a cup of tea in the restaurant. Buy the included breakfast and dinner on Expedia when available, since it is worth it and cheaper on Expedia.

Vanakkam, my husband and my father stayed here for three nights as part of our pilgrimage to Tamil Nadu. We loved the friendly service, we had a breakfast package and it was worth the extra money. Hotel is beautiful. We did not get to use all of the extra amenities but the pool, reception areas and dining options are very good. The only complaint is when our driver had to pick us up and drop us off, the wait time was more than 10 minutes. Also, for the couple of days we were there, we could not figure out a direct sea access...which was disappointing because the point of us booking this hotel was to do early morning walks and meditation on the beach. The room was spacious and the workers provided a roll bed for my dad.
