I realize that the hotel is not responsible for the condition of the neighborhood. But it was quite dirty and there were people openly doing drugs in the street. We decided to just stay in the hotel where it was extremely safe and comfortable. Once the sun came up in the morning it was much nicer.

Nice hotel

Be Manos is a great hotel in a poor location. It's convenient to the midi station, just a 5 min walk but not really close to anything else. We walked to the square and back, the walk wasn't long but it was in a seedy/dirty part of town. The hotel is very clean, bed was amazingly comfortable, I slept 10 straight hours the second day and I never sleep that long. Bathroom was big, shower was great, room was huge by European standards, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room had a free safe for valuables. We would stay in be Manos again if we visit Brussels. For the price it's a great room.
