Lovely stay..grounds are amazing and really liked the pub. The menu was a bit limited but it was tasty and had Devon Red on draft. We had a separate bathroom which was small but fine for the one night

Check in closed early short staff. Service in the restaurant slow although polite food was good. Woken at 1am by a person unlocking my door and entering my room. I advised the person it was not a good idea. He apologised said wrong room and left quickly. Transpires it was a member of staff finishing late and starting early. He had been given the wrong key and room number. He apologised at bfast. Not the point very poor situation to allow to happen, I’m pretty unhappy about it and complained at check out, again no staff and spoke to an events team member. Told the manager would contact me.. Room mould on the bathroom ceiling and mixer tap plumbed the wrong way. So hot was cold etc. against regs imagine a blind person or child using the tap. To top it off electric car chargers a joke. App didn’t work although on this occasion not the girls fault. Summary very disappointing.

Lovely surroundings

The staff here are courteous and friendly They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant The rooms on the west wing are quite good but the corridors and hallways need some attention The east wing seems to have been updated I was pleasantly surprised after reading some negative reviews on trip advisor Don’t let these put you off staying Give it a try You will be pleasantly surprised

Beautiful estate house and gardens. Pros: - Superb staff, attentive, friendly and efficient - Relaxing environment - Cons, to improve: - Mismatch conference furniture in the guest lounge made it look unloved. - Hallway carpets would benefit from a clean -

Dartington Hall is absolutely stunning, but, sadly some areas lack attention. We've stayed before, and had the same challenges... We love the place, but.... The bed (again) was like trying to sleep on Brighton beach, the decor is very tired, it could do with some tlc, but, to be fair, it a very old building, the upkeep must be astronomical.. There were no towels, we had to ask for some, Although the shower room is tiny, the water was piping hot (when it eventually comes through) and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The White Hart is such a lovely place, the food is to die for, the staff are really friendly, and attentive. The buffet breakfast is excellent too. The Barn cinema is lovely too, and there is a issue, I didn't sleep well because of this. Even a mattress topper would have helped a bit, next time i will take one with me 😊 Excellent value for money, will be going again soon!

Absolutely lovely place. Rooms were great.Beautiful surroundings.Only down side was that we arrived at 1pm, check in was 3pm.Had planned to go to The White Hart Inn, for lunch and drinks, only to arrive there and be told, due to winter staffing, they were not opening until 5pm. I suggested that maybe having a sign on the road advertising that they were open from 8am, should be removed/ amended.

Such a beautiful place to stay! On the Dartington Estate. So peaceful and quiet. It had the feel of an old college - how I imagine an Oxford Uni college house to be. My room was huge with a queen size bed, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, lovely towels and robes. It wasn’t en suite - too old for that! But I had my own lovely bathroom (shower only) directly across the little corridor. Great pub and restaurant at the White Hart across the little quadrangle through beautiful gardens. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely staying here again! Did I mention incredible value for money?

The estate is very pretty and has lovely grounds to walk around. The accommodation is lovely. There are a couple of places for food available. The only downside to our stay was that it was Burns night and it was a very limited menu, given only 3 options. Ideally when booking in we could have been advised. The food was very nice but due to the options I personally did struggle.

The estate is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay but the the hotel could do with some maintenance. You could not turn off or turn down the heating so it was too hot in the bedroom on the first night. The TV is very small and the screen was slightly damaged, and the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall. 10am checkout is too early!
