It is located on the second and last floor of an medieval building of the typical via del Riserraglio, in one of the most ancient districts of the city where there was the Roman era forum and where, in the Middle Ages, there were flourishing handicraft workshops and big papermaking factories. The flat has been finely renovated and furnished taking great care of the details, trying to recreate, where it was possible, a medieval style furniture. It has a beautiful high ceiling with terracotta tiles, authentic beams and wooden truss beams, and parquet. The wooden furniture, the light fixtures, the lanterns, the copper and wrought iron torches are all craftsman works, as well as the doors, faithful reproductions of ancient models with typical bolts. The walls are adorned with reproductions of medieval arras of the Flanders.
There are a little balcony and a little terrace with a charming view on Tivoli and the valley of Vesta below. The windows of the bedrooms overlook on the typical and quiet piazzetta del Riserraglio.

We had the most amazing stay in Tivoli! We stayed for a week in February (my husband, me, and 18 yr old daughter). What a beautiful town. We also traveled by train into Rome and also to Florence. That was of course amazing, but it was so nice to come home to Tivoli for a quieter, more authentic experience. The trains take a while to figure out schedules but once you get the hang of it, it was not difficult. Also, being Americans we were not used to the public transport so perhaps easier to figure out for others. Allesandra was the best host and made wonderful suggestions about places to visit and eat. She was so helpful and all her recommendations were perfect! We would recommend this lovely spot - the apartment is spacious and in walking distance to all restaurants and shops and train station. I would recommend setting up a car to and from train station on the days you arriving and departing. The walk to train is about 10 min and easy, but not with several suitcases! Alessandra was kind to help schedule us a car. All the food was amazing, the people were very friendly and the sights were breathtaking. Don't miss the Villa D'Este within walking distance of the house. It is unreal.I really cannot say enough about the town and home we stayed in - we did not want to leave! Can't wait to go back to Tivoli!

Amazing Apartment in Quintessential Medieval Town

We had an unforgettable stay in Tivoli! Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and our hostess was professional and welcoming. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and full of historic charm — a perfect blend of modern amenities and medieval character.The location was unbeatable. Right in the heart of the old town, we were just steps from great restaurants, shops, and bakeries, and within easy walking distance to all the main attractions — Villa d’Este, Villa Gregoriana, and more. Tivoli’s cobblestone streets, scenic views, and rich history made every walk an experience.Our three teenage kids loved it too — from the unique atmosphere of the apartment to exploring the town’s hidden corners and grabbing gelato in the piazzas. There was something for everyone, and we all felt completely at home.Evenings were especially magical — quiet, peaceful, and perfect for soaking in the surroundings. Spacious apt with lovely views

Alexandra is one of the kindest most helpful hosts you may ever find. She provided us with so much helpful information about restaurants, attractions, and transport. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking necessities and quality toiletries are provided for bathing. The apt is super cute, nicely decorated, well maintained, clean, and has the most beautiful views of the towns below and of the sunsets. The city of Tivoli is a quaint town with a lot of history. Two to three days are needed to explore the Villas. There are several family friendly restaurant choices in the nearby piazzas.

Perfect and unique!

Host was amazing. Waited for us and held a parking spot, helped us out with the luggage and planning our trip to Rome and was quick to respond to any inquiries. It was like going to a family member’s house. Tivoli was awesome. Beautiful place and it was wonderful walking around. This was the perfect place to stay for a family doing Italy on a budget and wanting to get to Rome easily and not break the bank (or stay with all the crowds). I’d recommend this place!!

What a great find!

We spent two days slowly touring Tivoli and this was the perfect place to stay. Very nice and very interesting. A bit chilly in the evening and mornings, so bring something cosy to wear. Alessandra is a great host. A bit challenging to find at night, but worth the search! The roof top is a great place to hang.

Very enjoyable stay

The host was very helpful and made the checkin/out process very easy. The apartment is spacious, with a well set up kitchen, comfortable beds and atmospheric. The stairs to get to the apartment kept us fit and it was a short walk to lovely restaurants and shops in Tivoli. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the train station so great to get the train to and from Rome and stay somewhere more peaceful and still really interesting. We really enjoyed our stay and would do so again.

Ancient apt with modern amenities

Once we realized we weren't in Kansas anymore we embraced this ancient town. The apt was very comfortable,clean ,warm, modern , roomy with decor that was to point with medival era, like 1500 AD. Hard to image ? Yes but we were soaking up history with a latte. Hello, does it get any better. Our hostess Allessandra is named after parts of Tivoli and she is fantastic. Every need was met.We recommend it highly.

Great place, charming host

Staying here you feel like you are living in a medieval movie scene. It is a beautiful apartment in the center of ancient Tivoili. Walkable to incredible sites of Ancient Rome. It is near the train station so you can get there from Rome and enjoy the apartment and go to a different restaurant every night like we did. The most interesting pizza we had is at Alice take out. A must try for lunch. I highly recommend this apartment but you must be able to take steps up to the apartment and also around the scenic little town of Tivoli.

Felt Like Italy!

Our family of 5 loved the place. As soon as we drove down the streets of Tivoli and walked up the stairs to the apartment, we felt like we were having an authentic Italian experience. The apartment is excellent and well-stocked. It is modern, clean, and comfortable and right in the heart of narrow old streets and homes. Alessandra is a fantastic host. She helped us upon arrival for restaurants and trip ideas. Before our departure, she went out of her way to assist us in various tasks. She cares for her clients and took time to make us have a great experience. The train is close for day trips to Rome and two of the villas are within walking distance. I highly recommend this apartment.

Schöne, helle, saubere Ferienwohnung im Obergeschoss eines Mehrfamilienhauses in Alt-Tivoli. Geräumiger und großer Wohn-Essbereich mit ganz toller kleiner Dachterrasse sozusagen als Easter-Egg. Die Wohnung ist stilvoll eingerichtet, alle gängigen Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Die Vermieterin ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, kümmert sich bei Problemen umgehend (hier bei der sehr feinfühligen Toilettenspülung) und gibt wertvolle Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Gastronomie der Umgebung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn wir mal wieder nach Tivoli kommen, wissen wir, wo wir wieder einchecken werden!

Die großzügige Wohnung mitten im Centro storico von Tivoli liegt ruhig und hat 2 sehr nette Schlafzimmer zum originellen Hof. Die Ausstattung mit vielen Details ist originell und geschmackvoll.
