Originally a fishing settlement, Tisvildeleje has now developed into a meeting place for artists and city dwellers looking for peace and quiet and a slower pace. The nature is beautiful, with beach, forest and fields nearby. Take a trip by train to the historic town of Hillerød with the largest Renaissance castle in the north, Frederiksborg Castle. There are many stores and restaurants in the pedestrian streets that meander through the town center.
