Ideal location for feeding Dolphins

We booked an Accessible room for one night on our week long road trip from Brisbane to Airlie Beach. The room was exactly what we expected and ideal for one night, which enabled us to explore the sleepy towns of Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay. The highlight of our trip was feeding the Dolphins in Tin Can Bay.

The Sleepy Lagoon Motel is in a convelient location, its clean and the outdoor gardens are neat with some great sitting / BBQ nooks. I'd deffinately stay again!

Really nice comfortable hotel in Tin Can Bay, great location and nice clean unit with comfy bed and excellent bathroom, handy for the dolphin feeding which is about a 5 minute drive away

Nice clean & roomy rooms. Good shower. leaks out onto the floor a bit. Quite a good location. Good parking. Air con noisy. Pub pretty rough for a meal & expensive for what you got. Wouldn't recommend it.

Love this place

This is always our "go to" in Tin Can Bay - central to everything - self contained - clean and tidy. The service from the staff is always top notch. The outside of the buildings are mouldy but inside is fine. The only disappointing thing is the old pub next door. Such a shame that it is so run down and dirty - it could be a real draw card for tourists and locals alike.

This was our second stay at Tin Can Bay's Sleepy Lagoon Motel in less than a month. Our first stay was over NYE and there was local 8.30pm fireworks the reserve directly across the road which was a lovely surprise. Tin Can Bay's Sleepy Lagoon Motel is great accommodation choice for a young families as the rooms are comfortable, have a kitchenette and air-conditioning. It was a convenient place to stay being next door to an old fashioned Aussie pub, across the road from a recreational reserve great for a ball game and for the kids to run around, it's a short drive or walk away from the town centre and shops, and is close to other parks, waters edge and 4 minute drive or an easy 20 minute drive to the dolphin feeding. The property was maintained, safe and has several sitting areas and 2 BBQ's. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Very recommended 😊

Nice littel spot for a couple of nights. Pub next door is pretty dated with a fiar bit of work needed on the building, but staff were very friendly, drink was reasonably priced and the food was good. If you want 5 star then stay away, but for people wanting somewhere easy to go on foot from the motel, the pub is perfect.
