We liked our mini vacation in this beautiful, authentic and unique place. The location is very good, right in the heart of Sequoia National Park. The hotel is close to major landmarks such as the Giant Tree (General Sherman), Moro Rock, and the fallen tree you can walk through.

Hotel is ok, but we were put in a room right next to the ice machine. We complained about the noise and they said all they could do is give us ear plugs and free breakfast. It was noisy and hard to sleep; not good if you’re paying $400 a night

This was honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The only positive thing I can say is the location — yes, it’s right inside the park, and that part is convenient. But everything else… an absolute nightmare. Our bathroom was filthy. The tub was so dirty that I couldn’t even touch it. I tried calling for housekeeping in the middle of the night, but of course, nobody was available that late. So I ended up cleaning the tub myself just so a person could take a shower. And the floor… oh my God. The floor was so dirty that we had to lay down towels and walk only on them because stepping directly on the floor felt impossible. The pillows were uncomfortable — high, stiff, terrible. The bed was old, hard, and it had an unpleasant smell. Everything in the room felt worn out and neglected. As for the food — there is basically no food here. If you stay at this hotel, please bring something from the park with you, because the market sells only raw meat and charcoal. That’s it. So yes, location is great, but everything else is a huge fail. For me, this hotel is a big NO, and I will never return.

Our room wasn’t ready by 4pm When we finally got inside it had a very strong odor. It was freezing and we had to sleep with the windows open because of the smell .

First, I would like to say that the Wuksachi Lodge and room was very nice. I was very impressed with the location and the beauty of the lodge. The word "awesome" come to mind. I would recommend this lodge to anyone! Now, you asked about the staff and food at the lodge! The staff at the gift shop were disconcerned about the guests and they "yes" they could care less about helping me. I just wanted to buy a decanter but did not want the display item. I wanted one in a box to bring home. I got the run around of "we don't box stuff here", "this is the only one left in the entire world", "No you cannot buy one online" etc... This is after I paid via kiosk. Day shift manager was just as bad, had an attituded and a "I don't care if you buy this or not! " SAD, just bad customer service. Someone need more training... last thing was the food at the lodge, beautiful place. I had the pot roast...or should I say "salt roast". Could have dry it out and make beef jerky. And NO BREAD! Yes they do not serve any type of bread with meal. Please, put a type of bread on the menu! Again, I would recommend this place as the only problems I had was with the Staff and food at the lodge. Very fixable, I think!

The accomodation was comfortable and clean. The staff however look really miserable and our waitress at dinner was borderline surly. Not sure if they are all disgruntled after the Federal lockdown but they definitely are not happy bunnies and do as little as possible
