We were there on a Wed. and went in to get our room and there was no one anywhere. A sign said call for assistance. So, I picked up the phone, and it started ringing and then I heard a Hello. I then said Hello, and he said hello again and I said is there someone to help me sign in? Then he came out from the back and signed me in with no greeting just very business-like no personality. He gave me an approximately 1x3 inch receipt and said there were no hot items on the breakfast menu, and then went in the back where he originally came out. There were maybe 5 cars in the front when we got there. Not very many customers. The room was good. In the morning, we went to the breakfast area and there were no guests seen anywhere. We looked to see what was in the breakfast area and there were bags of cookies and some muffins and bread type bagels. A container of orange juice and a container of milk for the cereal and coffee. So, we went out for breakfast. When we left there was no one in the Lobby customers or manager anywhere. It was weird like a ghost town weird. There might have been 7cars when we left around 8:30 am.

Room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and bed very comfortable. Check in was easy and facility was quiet with easy access to a State Road to reach mainstream eateries etc. The only drawback was facility exterior appeared unkempt which made me initially question if entire operation might be in disrepair. Thankfully this wasn't the case. Also parking lot lights were not on after dusk and made me feels bit vulnerable as a lone traveler. Otherwise, a restful stay for a better than average price!

My air conditioner was extremely loud. And the battery in the smoke detector decided to die at three in the morning and just beep. I ended up removing it because I asked them to replace it while I was out for the day and nobody did. The room wasn’t dirty, but it was definitely dated and so is the hotel.

What we expected

Very clean was a little noisy at night, lot of bikers. A/C hard to maintain a consistent temp. For what’s available in the area it wasn’t bad I would stay again.

The actual room was nice. The bathroom tiny. You couldn't open the bathroom door all the way, due to the door would hit the bathtub/shower. The staff wasn't professional. they didn't tell me anything about the breakfast or check out time, which I knew the time. The 1st floor was missing ceiling tiles in the hallway.

We have stayed at this location multiple times. We come to see our daughter and she has recommended this place to not only us but has had 8 other families stay here for the last 5 years. We know the place isn’t beautiful or even what we would normally stay in but it is the only hotel in the area and close to our daughter. Since coming to this place we have never used any of the amenities due to us spending the day visiting and exploring the area. One of the days it was hot and my wife wanted to bring our grandchildren to the pool for the afternoon. There was nobody in the pool, the grandchildren were quiet and not causing a ruckus, and the hotel only had a handful of guests period (which one was recommended by our daughter and is friends with her neighbor). One of the owners (who live on site) came out and asked what room my wife was in. She gave him the room number and he said that room is registered to only one guest. She gave my name and he said okay that’s fine but no outsiders are allowed in the pool. My wife replied that these are my grandchildren and he said “that’s good, they need to get out.” As many times as we have stayed here, as many times as this place has been recommended, to be so disrespectful when you clearly don’t have a lot of business to begin with shows you have horrible customer service. My wife gathered up the grandchildren and brought them home. While leaving she refused to talk to him and his response is you can check out right now! Unprofessional!
