Strandhotel staff were all very friendly and helpful during my stay, my room had a great beach view, and the breakfasts were great. Will definitely book again when in the area.

Great stay, very quiet hotel overlooking the seafront and 2 minutes from the tram. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Loved being able to help myself to coffee throughout the day. Lots of character although single room was quite basic. No lift and stairs to second floor were quite steep. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms are primarily at street level and very noisy. No air conditioning which required upper windows left open and transmitted outside noise inside. No air circulation in room, stuffy and tunnel feeling. Our room was only outside accessible and required entering through alternate exit to access hotel. Reception not manned all the time which precipitated in long waits for service. Not coming back.

This is a beautiful old-fashioned hotel with a lovely breakfast available overlooking the North Sea. The staff members are cheery and very helpful. The beach area and the pier (definitely take a Ferris wheel ride) offer great dining options and fun for families.

This is an stately hotel. Victorian. Full of paintings, furniture , decor from a bygone era. Stayed in a corner room with unobstructed view of the beach, from two large windows.Very comfortable, not fancy, just homey. The #9 tram stop is a 2 minute walk away. The building is old and the stairs to our room were around 45 steps, some very narrow , but doable, just pack light. Breakfast is good, advise taking it. The nearby tram makes trips in to The Hague for museums etc very easy. Charming.

A friendly hotel with character, felt authentic and Dutch with some nice period touches in the decor and features. Lounge has beautuful aspect of the beach and sea, and offers free tea and coffee. No lift and rather awkward entrance was a downside for us as my wife uses a wheelchair and negotiates steps with difficulty so would not recommend for people looking for easy access.

A wonderful place to stay. Reception staff were very helpful and our sea view room lovely. The building on the beach was a bit intrusive but can’t be helped.

Good location & Value

Good size room and excellent sea view, although we were at the top on the third floor which had a steep set of stairs to get to. Not a problem for us but wouldn’t be suitable for those with limited mobility. Excellent continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly & nice touch to have free hot drinks available on the ground floor. For the location it was very good value.

Classic style botique hotel right on the beach .

Fantastic location. Over 100 years old building with classic style. Very elegant. The view from the breakfast room was amazing. Our room has excatly the same view as the bfast room, 180 degrees view to North sea and De Pier. The staff wete friendly and helpfull. No lift. The breakfast was basic but fresh. You can have Coffe , tea and water at anytime in the tea room. Clean and spacious. We will be back again.

Beautiful, distinct beach side hotel

There are quite a few beachside hotels here, but this one is distinct with its cozy, b&b atmosphere, architecture, and friendly staff. It is perfectly located right on the beach with reasonable prices considering the winter weather.

Close to beach and tram station.

Excellent staff and room. Breakfast was very good. No tea or coffee in room but free machine downstairs. I would have loved a sitting area overlooking the sea front, however you could sit in the dining room at any.

Strand - we would book here again

If you like something with "character" (100 year old building), and "family service", in an excellent location, please consider this. It is not a faceless forgettable place. The rooms are not super-luxury but they have everything one needs, the staff are indulgent but sensible, the breakfast was just fine.
