The Shopkeepers' Quarters | Quaint Heritage Charm

Stay behind Australia's oldest menswear store in Mr Flanagans' old apartment in Tenterfield. This small and cosy accommodation is quaint and quirky and for heritage and history lovers. Wood burning fire, polished timber floors, luxury queen hotel bed and fine linens with bathrobes make your stay cosy and comfortable. You can see the ink marks on the floor where Mr Flanagan sat in the evenings filling out his ledger and each Shopkeeper has left messages on the walls. There is a clawfoot bathtub and a detached toilet that leads to the garden. There is a trundle bed which is suitable for a child to stay also. You are centrally located in the heart of Tenterfield and can walk to shops, cafes and restaurants.

Gorgeous cabin in the granite belt
A gorgeous little cabin in the granite belt region, perfect for a long weekend. The photos are super accurate. The log fire is cosy, as is the bath and big bed. Centrally located, perfect for checking out the town and region. Check-in process couldn't be easier! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again

My partner and I stayed for two nights. We did after hours check in which was super easy. Cottage was cute and welcoming, bed was super comfy, garden was appealing overall a thumbs up.

Beautiful spot
We enjoyed retreating to this property after a couple of days of hiking in Girraween. The soaking tub was divine and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The owners were very friendly (as was everyone in the town).

Definitely not your standard motel room.
Quirky accommodation in the heart of town. Comfortable bed-always important- good shower, and lovely yard. Storage is a bit tight so you need to travel light. A nice place to spend some time in Tenterfield.

What an awesome place to stay in Tenterfield. Bed was awesome and comfortable and the fire place beautiful. Oh! and the resident chickens such a lovely surprise. We seriously can't say enough about how awesome this place is.

Not happy
At 11am on the morning of my stay I recieved notice that my accommodation for the night was now cancelled. I had travelled hours to Tenterfield and had already arrived in the town. Not happy. Did not get much explanation as to why this happened and no support in finding alternate accomodation was prepared or suggestions offered. When I pressed for suggestions of where my family and I could stay at such short notice a local motel name was given.
