Cleaning fee

After payment was made a notification appeared that said I would have to pay extra 250 shekels for cleaning the room. I felt really misled because had that been apparent from the start I would have booked with the competition. I told this establishment that I can still stay there if they don't charge me for the cleaning. They replied that because I was not willing to pay for the cleaning I can't stay there. A credit was granted which I am very happy about, but it never should have come to this point. I prefer to book with booking.com rather than hotels.com, regardless of whether Expedia who manages hotels.com were able to reverse the payment. The best place I stayed with in Israel was without a doubt The Spot hostel.
