Great house better views

Million dollar view might be an understatement. Peacefully and relaxing. Got to watch the balloon rally launch without leaving the comfort of the house.

Great long weekend get away.

Taos is one of our favorite places to visit. Only 2 and 1/2 hours from home with a good art, music, and food scene. This property is about 10 minutes from the plaza but secluded and private. We spent the majority of the time outside on the back wrap around deck enjoying the view, quiet and serenity. This will always be a special trip for us as we met a terrific real estate agent and are getting ready to make an offer on a beautiful property. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Peaceful retreat

Casa Julia was a lovely, peaceful retreat for us. Secluded and quiet but very convenient to Taos square & grocery shopping. The only difficulty encountered was with crazy GPS (Google & Apple) directions that in no way reflected on the house. Look forward to another visit in the future.

Million Dollar Views!

The check in was easy, great communication with property manager, great location with amazing views, beautiful property! We loved our stay here and would stay again. Close and easy to get to town but felt like you werent and thats what makes this location great!

Holiday ski trip with famiky

Experience living in a great location in Taos. Views and isolation coupled with convenience to town. The home is comfortable and well appointed. Would love to come back to this property again.

Great Property Near Downtown Taos

We loved this property so much! The views were incredible from both inside the house and the patio outside. Outside- There is great seating with a table outside that was perfect for dining and 2 Adirondack chairs for watching the stars at night or having a cocktail on the patio. We absolutely loved the hot tub and appreciated the property manager getting it ready for us upon arrival. There was a great trail right behind the property if you want to do some morning walking. Inside- The house could seem to some a bit dated with the kitchen and tile in the master bath, but we found it charming. The inside was very clean and comfortable. The primary bedroom had a door out to the patio, which was so convenient. We loved the layout of the kitchen and living room as well. Note that the only TV in the house is in a separate TV room with bunk beds, but we actually really liked that so when you were in the living room you could focus on talking or watching the indoor fire in the beautiful Kiva fireplace. We didn't use it, but there was another bedroom with twin beds and a separate bathroom. An item of note is that there is no air conditioning in this house. We stayed at the beginning of June and it wasn't an issue at all, but I hadn't thought to check for that before booking. There are instructions in the house on how to keep it both cool and warm as needed and it worked great! Location- This property was perfectly located for us! We felt far away with the great mountain views, but were so close to downtown. We could get to anything in 10 minutes, which was fantastic. Would highly recommend this property and we can't wait to go back!

Beautiful and Serene Property

Casa Julia is a beautiful, private, and serene property filled with unique art. The views of mountains and forest are magnificent. The house is spacious and comfortable and we had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the chaise lounges on the hill behind the house in the morning and evening. We loved our stay.

Great Views !

Casa Julia has magnificent views and is easily accessible to Taos town center. The house is very comfortable and well set up. You need a 4 wheel in winter to access on steep gravel road. Hot tub is great after skiing as is Kiva fire place. Wood is dry so you need extra and can get at Smiths grocery just down the hill. Overall ideal for family or 2 couples.

Taos ski week

Great condo, great location. We enjoyed evenings in the hot tub watching the sunsets and early morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was comfortable after a long day of skiing. The owners responded to questions quickly and efficiently. Loved a warm fire at night too. Peaceful getaway!

Beautiful views. Relaxing deck and hot tub. Cool little paths and art in the back yard. Nice property manager and caretaker. Wonderful customer service. Hard water, low water pressure, and difficulty cooling the front room in full afternoon sun. BUT - so worth all of that. We loved the stay.

Beautiful home & location

This was an absolutely beautiful home to stay in — the views on the deck are amazing and the decor is beautiful! The kitchen could certainly use some updates and the water is pretty nasty and full of sediment... we ended up buying water at the grocery store to use during our stay. The water pressure in the showers is also pretty bad. However, this was a very beautiful home in a scenic, lovely location (and the hot tub is amazing!) so the minor annoyances of the bathroom and kitchen did not detract from our stay.

We just got back from Casa Julia and we’re horribly disappointed. There is no door on the master bedroom, and no working dishwasher. I cannot fathom why the owner wouldn’t set those expectations on the front end. The house was filthy. Toilets, sinks, and floor had not been touched by the cleaners. The hot tub was also gross. The care taker, Kate got that fixed on our fourth day, I think. But why you wouldn’t drain and clean the hot tub completely after each guest as a matter of course is beyond me. The location is great. The house was awful.

Would have liked to have known the bedroom and outdoor fireplace were out of order. The master bath tub out of order and the guest bath/shower had no water pressure. Way to much chlorine in the hot tub. The house was great just needs repairs or include in the post that all of this is not working. Kate was fantastic and the house way very clean. Location and view was amazing.

Great view on the edge of the national forest

Beautiful view of Taos from the foothills of Taos Mountain. The property borders the national forest. It's a great location. The room layout is very comfortable; plenty of room for five adults, and the outside wrap-around porch is lovely. The only drawback is the kitchen. The appliances are quite old: Amana "radar range" and oven, Amana refrigerator that froze the contents in the fridge overnight. Old dishwasher that left film on clean dishes. We cooked several dinners, so the old appliances were frustrating. We still had a great time.
