Cheap and Well positioned for Taormina

Overall had a good stay here, with some ups and downs. It is very central and was clean, the breakfast was okay and the woman serving it friendly - but when we first arrived we called the owner and he didn't want to come out and give us the key because it was raining and "too far" from his place. It had taken us quite a while to find, and we were fairly soaked at this point. We got the key from a lock box and managed to find the right room, though while searching we found the keys unlock all of the other guest's doors! The showers were just a tiled corner of the bathroom, awkward and everything ended up soaked. We never did meet the owner, on our last day the breakfast/cleaning lady took our passport details and payment. Despite this, had a nice time and loved the city itself.

B&B a pochi passi dal centro di Taormina vecchia

In viaggio di lavoro ho soggiornato con mio marito per quattro notti in questo B&B ristrutturato da poco. Abbiamo alloggiato in due stanze diverse: la prima notte in una tripla e poi in una doppia. Le stanze, molto pulite, sono arredate con gusto rustico molto piacevole, anche se non del tutto funzionale. I bagni sono un po' piccoli: il primo aveva la doccia eccessivamente sacrificata: il secondo, di dimensioni un po' più accettabili, ci ha dato qualche problema per due giorni, ma poi è stato sistemato tutto. I proprietari sono molto cordiali e disponibili. La proprietaria si è adoperata per proporci a colazione ogni giorno una novità fatta da lei. L'ubicazione è un po' rumorosa la notte, ma sembra che a Taormina centro sia così un po' ovunque; comunque non è stato un aspetto troppo penalizzante. Buono anche il rapporto qualità-prezzo e lo consiglierei per una coppia che vuole soggiornare per qualche giorno a Taormina.

Nette kleine Pension in Citynähe

War zu einer Tagung in Taormina, hab die Pension hier über Expedia gefunden. Kleine(!) Pension mit 3 Zimmern (eins pro Etage) und einer schönen Dachterasse fürs Frühstück. Bei der Anreise am Nachmittag war der Besitzer nicht anwesend, aber am Haus ist die Telefonnummer vermerkt und er ging sofort ran. Der Schlüssel war dann in einem Kasten mit Zahlenschloss deponiert, konnte also direkt ins Haus und ins Zimmer. War zuerst in einem sehr schön dekorierten Zimmer, das im Bad allerdings nur eine sehr kleine Duschecke (50x50 cm²) hatte, ansonsten alles sehr schön und sauber. Der Besitzer hat mir aber ab dem zweiten Tag dann (selbständig!) ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, das eine größere Dusche hatte und dann frei wurde. Das war auch schön (das Zimmer mit Betthimmel). Frühstück war ziemlich "italienisch", d.h. lecker Capuccino und relativ süße Sachen dazu (auch Crepes mit Nutella z.B.). Von den Zeiten her war der Besitzer auch flexibel, als ich mal früher raus musste hat er auch das Frühstück schon früher fertig gemacht. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden. Nette kleine Pension, 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Zentrum. Die Straße muss man allerdings erst mal finden - Google Maps zeigt die Position zwar im wesentlichen richtig an, aber man muss links eine Treppe hoch gehen zur Straße! ;-)
