Obviously a rundown hotel they tried to slap some new paint on it and sell it as luxury. Rude staff at check in, no breakfast offered, no elevators close to the room, room claimed to have a queen bed but what we got was a very short barely twin bed. I’m 5’10” and my head was on the wall and my feet was hanging off of the bed. Both my wife and I tried to sleep in the bed but we both had to side sleep and couldn’t move. Absolutely no ventilation or air conditioning reaches the very small partitioned off bedroom so no matter how cold the rest of the hotel room got, the bedroom was stifling hot. Ended up moving to the couch in the living space that smelled musky and moldy worse than the rest of the room. Judging by the rest of the rooms around the floor we were on, we received one of the better rooms. The hotel did have amazing views of sunrise, and you could see Tampa Bay from the balcony. But no access to the bay or the beach area. Sheets were clean and room was equipped with a kitchenette. Overall, terrible stay. Photos, rating and reviews were highly misleading and did not represent the current state of the property.

This place has long been my go-to staycation for many years! Not only is it affordable, it has a great location to the water, shopping and walkability factor for exercise. My only sad part is having to checkout and leave. I highly recommend Sailport Resort.

I like the location. It was close to the beach and close to Tampa airport. I didn’t like the service it was loud and noisy. People were in the pool all night long and somebody banged on our door and ran away so it was kind of a terrible experience for me. I’ll never do it again. They also took $100 and couldn’t explain to me why and then never gave anything back when I checked out very disappointed.

After reading many positive reviews, I booked a one bedroom suite for me and my 2 children. The room had a noticeable odor. I believe it was the carpet, as there were 5 or more big stains near the front door that looked like it could be pet urine. The bathroom floor was dirty and bathtub peeling paint. The kitchen was old and felt nasty. My son had trouble sleeping on the pull out couch, which obviously needs a new mattress because you could feel the pole from under the mattress easily. We had a beautiful view out the balcony window, but the sliding glass door was dirty and so was the balcony. The chairs inside the unit were all scratched up and need replacing or just simply painted. I felt like I was staying in a one star hotel with the general feeling of disgustingness and not even wanting to step on the floor in my socks or bare feet. The pool was OK, but the chairs felt sticky and dirty and it was not apparent where the pool towels were because there were no signs indicating, but once we found where the towels were, it was obvious the towels are very very old. We did enjoy the live music. The guy was very talented on the guitar and the steel drum. The bartender was very helpful and nice. However, the employee at the front desk did the very minimal to inform us about anything at the property. They do have a cute little beach area set up, but there are cigarette butts in the sand and chairs were dirty. NOT worth the money and will not stay there again.

They bed wasn't comfortable it was too hard. Overall the stay was nice.

It is an OK Place to stay. The furniture is outdated. The toilet was a problem as it was really short. and for some reason after the first night I had a rash all over my legs. Not sure what caused it. The bar restaurant was good and the Bartender was great. There were lots of kids in the pool. The view is good.
