A very nice environment and hotel design. However, after check-in there was no further service. Everything had to be collected from the Reception …clean towels ect. Any room cleaning was an extra cost on top of an already expensive room rate. Many of the staff were friendly and courteous but did their job nothing more. would not stay there again.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was hearty and thoroughly enjoyable. The onsen was fantastic, with thoughtful details such as rotating the men’s and women’s baths daily, which reflects great consideration in the design. There are plenty of spacious lounging areas, making the hotel feel open and comfortable. I loved the art direction and creative curation throughout the property—especially the boutique shop that highlights local producers, as well as the way the hotel shares the stories of the artisans behind the interiors and details on each floor. Overall, it offers great value for money. I highly recommend opting for the breakfast package.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, the location next to the train station was very convenient. They offered private onsens for the best rate I saw, and that was extremely relaxing. What a fantastic hotel. This is a newly built hotel within the past 5 years. Eveyrthing look brand new. This is a very busy hotel but everything was top notch. We didn't plan for dinner here but it was fantastic. All the staff were great. Its also great if you are travleing by train, the station is literally foot steps away from the hotel. 10/10!

We had a great stay at TOKYU STAY Hida-Takayama Musubi no Yu. The location is incredible, whether you’re catching the JR or joining a sightseeing bus tour, everything is just steps away. The staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast was really good with plenty of delicious options to start the day. And the onsen? Absolutely wonderful, a perfect way to relax after exploring Takayama. Highly recommend!
