The location is great. The price is fine. The lobby is fun with many games. However the room is not quiet enough. Whenever someone talks in the hallway, it'll be like they're talking in your room. The service is okay. Pretty friendly staff.

Taiwan for the 2nd time around

Overall experience was great, room and service were okay. The last time we stayed here I think breakfast was better and then they did not ask any deposits when we checked, but that was like 9 months ago... everything has changed still love this hotel. Cozy and modern feel even though we got the room that has no window. Thanks.

Lost in terminology

Very nice and convenient hotel. Only with term "standard room" I understand room with windows, where as here in Asia it seams to be different. For European/North America standards room without it would be an "economy" or "super saver". Just one has to be aware of it. Staff was very helpful and breakfast generous.

Could have been better if...

Very good location, but my room was in the center zone of the square footprint of the floor, so there was no window. Bathroom has glass partition and modern fixtures, overall is pretty good, especially the price including breakfast. I guess you have to sacrifice with no window with such low price.

This hotel in in a convenient location, only about a 10 minute walk to the MTR. This hotel is close to several bakeries and coffee shops which we appreciated! The hotel room itself was very small, you definitely get what you pay for. Wifi was good! Hotel stay also comes with free breakfast which was good for a quick something before heading out for the day. Overall, would recommend if you are looking for something cheap & convenient.

Everything was good except one thing.

Friendly clerk, clean room, good equipments was prepared. Just one thing I didn't satisfy was they requested 3,000twd deposit even I already payed via hotel.com. You can refund the amount after room checking by employees of hotel.

Rooms are small. Good for one night. Longer stays better off elsewhere. Also, can be pricey unless you get a really good discount. Location is good for the main Taipei train station and busses to/from the airport.

Great find right near the train station

Great find right near the train station. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room, albeit small, was comfortable and functional. If you have lots of bags check some in at the front desk. Breakfast was plentiful and good selection. Just one block from peace park and museum, 5 minutes to Ximen district or to train station. Will stay here again.

great location, friendly staff

i changed to this hotel after some apprehension around the neighborhood of a previous booking. this one was very safe, i felt comfortable walking around at night, even if it did seem a little desolate (i.e., the food stalls close early, there's only 7-11 for late night sustenance). the room itself was very clean, modern and efficiency-sized (i.e., small). there is no closet and only 2 hangers with one hook to hang any clothes, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. the bathroom is spacious but separated from the bedroom by all glass, so you'll have to pull the curtain for modesty from your room companion. this was an inner room so no window to the outside. breakfast was awesome - a mix of east and west and everything in between. it was the same stuff every day with few substitutions, but i loved having the rice porridge with fixings and hot soy milk. staff was extremely helpful and friendly and spoke sufficient english to understand guest needs. location was great because it was close enough to walk to a few different MRT stops, particularly taipei main station, which is convenient for taking day trips to other parts of taiwan. would definitely stay there again!

5-night vacation in Taipei

Location was outstanding, near Main Train Station and MRT subway. Nearby walking distance shopping, food, markets, parks and museums. Took bus from airport to Main Station then walked the few blocks to this hotel. Staff was excellent. Both the lobby and the restaurant are off street level at B-1. Good multilingual desk staff (English) anxious to help obtaining tours and taxis and currency exchange. Housekeeping was very good. Breakfast (included) was very nice, with local cuisine being dominant. Large variety of hot foods to select from a buffet style service. Restaurant was clean an efficient. Only things to beware of were the room size and the bathroom design. The interior twin rooms we had (938 & 939) were very small. We slept only one per room, using the other bed for luggage, clothes and storage. There are no dressers or closets in these rooms. It would have been might tight for two people when we are used to the much larger room sizes in the US. However, the good news is that the room rates were so low we could afford two rooms here for the same price we would have paid for a larger room at another property and the location would have not been nearly as good. Summary - Great location, clean, excellent staff, low nightly rate, but small room size. Stay there again? Absolutely!
