This is a grand, historic hotel that's practically a tourist destination in its own right. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room quite nice. The only major drawback was that there was no bathroom in my own room - there are plenty of bathrooms at the end of the hall. Not a big deal, but something to note.

Stay away from the shared toilets

The hotel itself was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic and clean. The wifi was spotty. The shared toilets needed a complete redo. They were freezing cold. The showers and bath were dirty and old-we waited to shower at our next accommodation. My 16 year old was afraid to go in them by herself. They have nice lounge rooms, dining, and bar. I recommend getting a room with an ensuite.

Comfortable stay, Internet connection worthless!!!

Hotel is nice,staff really helpful. Hotel must clarify that Internet connection is not available in rooms because you CANNOT connect 99% of the time and if you do the connection is so slow and unreliable that you simply are NOT connected. Shameful that you paid for a service you don't get.
