Dune's Modern Oceanfront Sanctuary

Summary:

With a spectacular ocean panorama, lush tropical gardens and a vantage point high on the hill, this Sunshine Beach luxury home is like an island paradise nestled within one of the coast’s most sophisticated enclaves. Dune, as the contemporary property is known, stretches out across two stylish levels, which are flooded in beautiful natural light for a sense of warmth and charm. The ambience helps enhance the sense of beach living done well – and taken to a whole other level.

The Space:

Designed for the most modern of arrangements when it comes to friends and family, the property’s layout provides for self-contained accommodation on the ground floor, ideally set up to cater for groupings such as multiple generations. The floorplan encompasses a kitchen, bathroom, separate living area and spacious bedroom, all kitted out in a flowing palette of whites, neutrals and timbers, enlivened by lashings of greenery.

Outside, accessed through sliding glass doors, an alfresco leisure zone flows from a covered veranda to a flat lawn area, terraced garden and observation deck purpose-built to showcase the glorious ocean panorama stretching out across the horizon. It’s the perfect setting to bring the two floors of living together, in full appreciation of the natural art gallery that is Mother Nature.

Upstairs, the remaining bedrooms flow along one side of the house, leaving the chief lifestyle hub to embrace an open-plan flow from the front deck to the back balcony, including a sizable study that can be multipurposed as an office or a quiet spot to chat on the sofa. The sleek lines of the fully-equipped kitchen are a boon for eager home chefs who are keen to get creative with the area’s fresh local produce, which is always in bountiful supply. A series of bench stools allows for conversation to carry on during meal preparation, or serve as a more casual spot to eat than the adjacent dining zone.

Moving towards the full-width glass doors that link through to the outdoors, a subtly furnished lounge space continues an understated aesthetic that places the focus firmly on the ocean and bushland panorama beyond. The views are even more incredible from the alfresco balcony, where an undercover barbecue, table and chairs become prime position for breakfast through dinner, coffee through cocktails and summer days through stormy weather. The water theme is also bookended at the front of the property, where an inviting pool anchors a relaxation zone that includes sunloungers, a table and chairs, making it an ideal spot to spend an afternoon.

With its prime position in the heart of Sunshine Beach, the modern getaway is just a short stroll from the area’s patrolled beach, a surf break, inviting eating and retail delights and the local surf club. Other high-profile destinations such as Hastings Street, Main Beach and Gympie Terrace are just a short drive away, while the delights of Noosa National Park are also yours to explore. When you’re done for the day, head back up to your holiday home away from home, enjoying the unparalleled vantage point that draws the colours of Mother Nature together into a dazzling, ever-evolving landscape. It’s coastal living taken to a whole new level.

Across the road from the Village is the recently renovated award-winning Sunshine Beach Surf Club which offers impressive and uninterrupted ocean views, perfect for spotting the humpback whales passing from June to October.

Beautiful location, lovely sea view and house was very well equipped. The entire swimming pool was very deep and the only person who could stand up was my 6ft 4in son. Any shorter and you needed to be able to swim! Easy walk to the beach and a small selection of shops and restaurants.
