We have been here many times before. We love this place for the breakfast and their convenient pet policies as we always bring our Dog. Unfortunately this is the first time we paid as much as we did and had some security and convienience issues with our room. The locking mechanism on our door was a huge problem. The card key worked fine in every other door (stairwells and pool) but was a huge problem in our room door. When i wasnt able to get back in, in the middle of the night after taking our dog out, there wasnt staff available at the front desk to assist. When i spoke to staff about it in the am i was made aware that they are aware of this problem, this room and obe other has been a problem for a while and they are hoping to get them fixed soon. This isnt an acceptable answer. If you guys know about it, why would you put anyone in there?? Once i made them aware that the privacy screen on the window was also broken and hanging she said they would put the room out of service to fix it. Im disappointed in the lack of proactive behavior to fix some very important security/ privacy features that are a standard in all hotels and being treated like my concerns about them were insignificant. Working in customer service myself, not trying to make it right is disappointing. For this im not sure we would stay here again.
